I'm not even sure I can eat anymore faces, I'm pretty full of face actually -Leopards right now

Mysterious rainbow on my floor yesterday. Couldn't work out where it was coming from; no matter, I enjoyed it nonetheless.

To the ghastly specimen of humanity who tried to scam my credit card earlier tonight: may all your pubes turn to snakes and bite your miserable dick off.

Marina on top form today. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Ladies and gentlemen, we got him.

Word of the day is ‘quafftide’ (16th century): the season for drinking. Also a pithy way of declaring that it’s time to relax. Works for hydropots (water drinkers) just as well.

What an absolute cluster****. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

So, who's currently identifying as a middle class woman of a certain age? I might get that on a t-shirt.

@deanwilson.bsky.social do you like this stuff? I love it but rarely find any! Discovered this in a Bishops Castle trinket shop.

Well who'd have thunk it.

I have just ordered the "Statite Never Come Loose Toilet Seat" in white. The product blurb says "a seat that once fitted will never work loose." Every other toilet seat on that bog over the last 20 years, without fail, has come loose. So we'll just bloody well see, shall we.

Anyone got helpful hints for capturing a trap-shy feral kitten? We think the little varmint has already had a bad trap experience (possibly with an automatic one - injured its tail badly). It's shy of people too but is slowly warming up to me. Do I keep trying to make friends with it? #catsofbluesky

Having a power cut makes my house look terribly Country Living.

@virtualastro.bsky.social any reports of meteor in Northern sky, around 7.15pm? Too quick for ISS I think (and wrong place)

@catsofyore.bsky.social this is a lovely book, if you've not seen it before. Wonderful illustrations and a story that causes a visit from the Onion Fairy. ©️ 1972.

My great-aunt was a live-in maidservant to Clement Atlee's aunt, and for a few years during my childhood I slept under an eiderdown that had belonged to her (Atlee's aunt that is).

Second hand bookshop treat for me today.

Saw this earlier - 6th grade is age 11-12, right? Quite shocking. I'll see if I can find out how other countries compare. www.thenationalliteracyinstitute.com/post/literac...

@catsofyore.bsky.social this is in a garden wall in our village, bordering a car park at the back of the dentist's. I like to think the long-ago bricklayer positioned it deliberately.

@catsofyore.bsky.social OOOOOHHHHH I am so glad you're here! I missed you on Xitter.

Looking down the Carding Mill Valley towards Church Stretton. I sometimes wonder if humans are hefted to the terrain of their early years, like sheep. Whenever I return to the Shropshire hills, I feel like I'm putting the landscape on like a warm jumper.

My gormless cat says hello.
