Need i say more? 🤔 #HyperSky

Is ONE PIECE reducible on some sort of a conceptual/archetypal level to a modern Animanga version of Robin Hood?

Nice to wake up on our release day to this review. #DrWerthless “Dr. Werthless, the graphic novel, is nothing short of brilliant. — Dr. Werthless belongs on the shelf of every comic book historian.” fanbasepress.com/press/review...

Every time a new JURASSIC movie comes out, the reviews frustrate me a bit. Like, who expects any of these follow-ups to be another culture-defining monolith of cinema? Since no one else wants to put in the money and effort to do big screen realistic dino action, grade it accordingly.

Boo these people.

Just observing in my local Midwestern American surroundings but it seems like the mullet is trying to make a comeback. Someone break out the pitchforks and torches before this spreads too far...

I hit 2K Followers! 🥳 To celebrate, I'm inviting everyone to suggest classic works of art into which to insert @judywall.bsky.social. For example THE MONA LISA could be one. But let's not be so narrowminded. If it's "Art" and notable/old toss an idea my way! I'll pick the "Best" and comm something.

My part of an art trade with @arblueslime.bsky.social of his OC Iris! 🖤🍑✨

The White House has ordered the US Dept. of Justice to prioritize denaturalization: voiding the citizenship of US citizens. Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important". Point 10 leaves the criteria opaque and arbitrary. substack.com/redirect/169...

One of the curses of finding an image like this if you're me (and you probably are) is you then feel the need to add it to the Wikipedia pages of three actors, the play, and the character Roxie Hart (which oddly had listed dozens of actresses who'd portrayed the character but not the originator.)

Surprise surprise. A week after Sarah McBride gives cover fire for throwing trans people under the bus, some Dems are privately indicating they’ll capitulate on trans youth healthcare and citing the pseudoscientific Cass Report literally drafted in consultation with hate groups.

I'm open to anything. It'll just be a matter of what's most appealing and I can translate conceptually into a finished piece. And if I like a notion but don't see the vision, I'm not above asking for help/clarification.

These are all lovely pieces. And with all of @judywall.bsky.social's past sizes available to us, I'm open to all sorts of proposed pieces. That said, a landscape with a single figure or two opens up something closer to her current size for consideration.

As @soylentorange.bsky.social and @iliarakantira.bsky.social suggest, Edward Hopper's NIGHTHAWKS and Hieronymus Bosch's GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS would be options. I will note that as artists often charge by the figure, the latter could bankrupt me at a stroke. BUT do suggest without limitation.

The "roughest" kind of handling #-Stick is comfortable with. She really just wants them to be purely decorative, not to keen on people touching them. (expanders were probably meant to be up to 10k cc, but she's currently going at 28k) Lazy "animation" from last year, now with character tagged.

As promised, chapter 38 is out (just barely in time for Pride!) Things are a bit serious but there's content for fans of Jess and her ginormous boobs www.deviantart.com/boobywitch/a...

Just 3 slots left! 20% off full color, $75 for one character with flat color 🩷 DM me if you're interested

Squidge and I are being taken on a mystery birthday adventure by @comradewolfe.bsky.social 🤨

I think we should not put a ten year moratorium on state regulation of this technology I think that is a bad idea

Maybe? I'm not at all familiar with them. That said, to look at him, I'm guessing he's a direct riff on Mr. A and/or Rorschach. So, he either REALLY counts or maybe he'd be too tongue-in-cheek/referential to truly stand as their own character. I couldn't say.

According to this website, Anarky. Apparently he believes in something called neo-tech which is an offshoot of objectivism, supposedly. (I'm not too familiar with the character to have an opinion)

Pete Candoli’s power and bandstand flamboyance earned him the title of "Superman with a horn" He began to appear on stage in a Superman costume, leaping out from the wings to electrifying effect, or sliding down a wire from a high balcony, arriving with split-second timing to play his high notes.

We are living in precarious times.

Oh, how the mighty (Marvel) have fallen...

🤡 show

I can see that working. I can also see an Objectivist arguing around him pretty easily? Also, he's not really ABOUT that. An Evil Mr. A would necessarily being about Negative Moral Objectivism in the way Ditko's Mr. A is his poster boy for traditional Objectivism.

I'm currently listening to a debate about ethics with an Ayn Rand-ian Moral Objectivist on one side. I gotta ask, has anyone in Comic Books ever tried to conceive and execute an (to most reasonable readers) Evil character who still broadly subscribes to Objectivism? An Evil Mr. A, to pull in Ditko.

Happy 84th birthday to comics artist Mike Royer — who scribbled out a sketch of the Silver Surfer for this 16-year-old more than half a century ago at (I think) Phil Seuling's 1971 4th of July weekend con. That question marks tells me he wasn't sure he got it right. But I think he did just fine.

Apparently, I need to actually read this one as opposed to buying it because I have a pull list because I identify as an FF fan and as someone who values the Local Comic Shop experience/resource.

The first "Private Snafu" cartoon--a series produced for the military during WWII--premiered on June 28, 1943. (Though the Snafu character was created by director Frank Capra, the cartoon shorts featured a who's who of animation talent including Chuck Jones, Mel Blanc, Bob Clampett & Friz Freleng.)

I've said it before, deviations are more effective when you actually have a pattern established. When Shakespeare drops the tidy iambic pentameter, you notice.

NYC Comptroller Brad Lander: "I don't think the line for the [Democratic] party right now is between progressives and moderates; I think it's between fighters and folders."

Does @idwpublishing.com just not put creator credits on their covers now? This feels like a terrible practice.

Gaza is dying silently 😔 not just from bombs, but from being forgotten. Homes in ashes, families shattered, and the world keeps scrolling. We are human. We deserve to live. Don’t let our pain fade into silence 💔 Please, stand with us tinyurl.com/osamalife
