Wonderful to have @fjtweedie.bsky.social and Shelia Akomiah-Conteh from Brendan Research speaking today at @cswcedinburgh.bsky.social on their study on migration and Christianity in Scotland!

Being a good “casualty” at Outdoor First Aid training yesterday. In a yellow weather warning 😬 Fab course from First Aid Training Cooperative.

Wonderful evening at Ocean Vertical with Mollie Hughes finding out more about the Gokyo Ri trek I’m on in 2026 🤩

Oh yes, Homer’s famous “Tes Thdpssssps.” 👍🏻

Fabulous exhibition. Mindblowing! Then you can go upstairs and see the Treasures Gallery.

A day of data cleaning…. Why does MS Forms have an “Other” option and then make the data such a pain to extract?? 9 nested SUBSTITUTE commands are not my idea of clean code.

Good meetings today, finishing up with being a tourist at Church of England synod.

Amazing photo of Barclay Viewforth Church of Scotland against a blazing sky.

Farnborough Winter Half Marathon. Not run one of these for a while.

That would make #GA25 quite the event 🙄

Wonderful day in Glasgow with Brendan Research colleagues. So fabulous to get to work with such amazing people.

Epic run in the snowy Pentlands. Def pushing my limits but all good. Wind chill on Capelaw summit was a thing 🥶

I confess this is a recent learning for me - leave things deliberately “unfinished” so they can be co-created with colleagues or clients. Pressure is off me to be “perfect”.

Off to Glasgow to meet potential new client.

Training on Craighouse Hill in Edinburgh. Days are getting slightly lighter.

After many many months of putting up with my laptop not updating, refusing to connect to Google Drive, not having an RStudio that displayed more than 50 columns of data, no Firefox, I finally had the courage and energy to carry out a factory reset and reinstall. All now good. Please clap.

Communion in the chapel at Church of Scotland National Offices. Good way to start the year.

Data viz meets hills meets using up diamond art bits. Wainwright s climbed in 2023 (red) and 2024 (blue). 197 to go to catch up with Carol Morgan’s Christmas run!

Ouch, wrong on so many levels!

She’s done it! She’s beaten the previous winter record, held by James Gibson, and has become the first woman to complete the continuous winter Wainwrights challenge and the first ever to do it in mid winter. Absolutely outstanding achievement by Carol Morgan 💪🏻

Oh this is sad. Must go re-read…

Usher Hall for Handel’s Messiah. 2025 can begin!

Well, I’ve paid the deposit on a trekking trip in Nepal in Nov 2026…

Happy 25th anniversary to Y2K not wrecking the world and causing a lot of people to assume that the lack of a disaster meant that all the advance mitigation we did to prevent chaos was a waste of time and therefore we should never again come together as a society to collectively work for the better

Zijn tijdzones niet fascinerend? In Azië is het al 2025 In een groot deel van Europa is het nog steeds 1933 In de VS gaan ze 1776 in.

Apparently I’m not ready for a rest day yet! Snowy NYD #Parkrun in Livingston with @fjtweedie.bsky.social!
