18min is not long to wait if I’m roadtripping but not if I’m going about my day-to-day. People are forgetful, lazy, live far from work and in cold climates, have multiple cars and low-amperage service… they won’t just be “filling up” on road trips.
Habits and infrastructure both need to change imo.

Social media algorithms are the smoking problem of our generation imo. Pervasive, addicting, and driven by an entrenched industry.
Of course people just want to find a shortcut to the time it takes to actually being informed/social so “The Feed” does that for you. For free!
The cost? Fidelity.

It’s the Bystander Effect writ large. They’re incredibly effective at their status quo maintenance and fundraising day jobs but no one told them there would be a Popup Constitutional Crisis today! They didn’t study!

Maybe you should talk to some like-minded friends, form an actual third party, accept only funding from individual donors, then share all that funding and run for whatever?
