““None of this war on disabled people is necessary if Labour went after the real cheats – the tax avoiders and evaders and the billionaires just getting richer by the day just for being rich while disabled people are labelled and scapegoated for a crisis not of our making.”

My 'differing political views' are - should it be state run care for everyone or no state at all? In the meantime, should the extra funding go to the public libraries or the local parks? Where should the food bank money come from? Not - who gets to be people?

Zine call running March 7th through 21st! We pay 10 cents per word. You can submit one piece per zine theme, so feel free to write for all six if you'd like. cursedmorsels.com/submission-c...

I think everyone should apply for a DOGE job. Or at least, you know, fill out the form. Maybe even apply for other people. Fictional people, even. Inanimate objects. In this form right here. doge.gov/join

promo for my new comic series called Our Permanent Vacation that I'm going to be posting on all of my social media accounts. You can follow the comic via the hashtags #OurPermanentVacation or #opvcomic

here's the thing, right-- it's just straightforwardly obvious that if what you care about is making sure everyone who theoretically CAN work and contribute to society Does Do That, the way to go is a robust welfare state

i am developmentally disabled, and also have OCD, chronic migraines, & a connective tissue disorder. once i aged out of my dad's extremely good work insurance, medicaid really saved my bacon. especially since, if i'm going to work at all, i absolutely need medications to function.

The familiar objects

I never knew the details of how the kids in the 2018 Thai cave crisis were rescued and, holy cow. They were drugged unconscious and hauled underwater. Journey took 2-3 hours.

i often think about how eons before cookie monster was conceived, or indeed before there were minds capable of conceiving, cookie monster was already there, waiting

i rely on medicaid to get my regular bipolar psych meds and care. medicaid is what allows me to work and live independently and function reasonably well. if you've ever enjoyed my comics in the past, or plan to enjoy my comics in the future, please call! hell even if you just enjoy my posts lmao

Thinking about the brutality of emphysema and the greats we have lost to it - like David Lynch - and reminded of this beautiful graf in @themountaingoats.bsky.social's novel UNIVERSAL HARVESTER on Boris Karloff and Peter Bogdanovich's film TARGETS "There are new monsters now"

a movie that's shockingly relevant to 21st century america

if my unnaturally beautiful wife told me "i will bring us good health and countless fortune, so long as you never open this door" i would simply not open the fucking door

The ceasefire started, but after 15 months of war, we’ve lost everything. 💔 I’m a web developer in Gaza, urgently needing support to rebuild my office and secure electricity and internet to restart my work and support my family. Donate now, stand with a family from Gaza 🙏🫂🕊️ gofund.me/80c165c6

MISERY LOVES is a giallo and noir-inspired novella about mental illness and toxic relationships, featuring multiple layers of unreliable narrator. the central romance is at least ostensibly heterosexual; everything else is queer. get ready for knife murder & ambiguity! #sludgepit #WIP

As far as I know Adam Golaski doesn’t do social media at all, never mind somewhere as newfangled as here. BUT this book is one of the best weird fiction collections of the year, so I’m gonna post it for you all regardless of what he’d think:

For my money, this collection of stories by Adam Golaski is some of the absolute scariest horror and weird fiction i've ever read. Cannot recommend it enough. The story "The Animator's House" is an all-timer, reminding me of some of Al Columbia's work.

George Zimmerman and Kyle Rittenhouse are walking free! They're doing fucking speaking tours!

someone tagged me in this so I have to show the drawing I made inspired by this Friedrich Engels sketch :

Two months ago, folk from the village began to suddenly go missing. While half-hearted search attempts were made, the other townsfolk quickly accepted their missing neighbors to be poor souls claimed by the forest for committing some unknowable slight. One night, the lost folk began to return.

the Your Webcomic Is Bad And You Should Feel Bad on Henry Darger would be CRAZY

You can still get where you want to go if you are slow at writing, or inconsistent about writing, or have long periods of time when you're not able to write, even very small and very intermittent progress over a long period of time will still add up if you keep at it and don't give up on yourself

There’s no such thing as wasted time spent writing. Good work is, in most if not all cases, bad work retooled; writing is rewriting, as they say, so get to the first bit. Keep a mausoleum for any and all lines or ideas you cut, because when rehomed in new stories, they may prove to have been yr best

really good reporting here.
