No worries! Actually the loaches do a lateral sequence,diagonal-couplets gait - the same way a salamander or dog walks !

That being said, bony fishes that have the same body shape as epaulettes - the hill stream loaches - also push up on their fins to walk with morphological adaptations ranging from zero to full tetrapod. The latter just walk better, the former more swim on land (like epaulettes do)

Hi! Epaulette sharks don’t have any major modifications but the basal cartilages in the fins that make up the joints are a little longer than usual to allow more muscle attachment. And the muscles that attach are bigger.
