I know saying Chrono Trigger good is like one of the most bland opinions to have but it is crazy to me that Square Enix made one of the best self-contained RPGs ever, combining and streamlining aspects of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, and it got one sequel then nothing else ever again.
