I am a 2nd amendment progressive who believes that our constitution should apply to all of America's individuals. Not to corporations, not to religions, not to special interest groups, and mostly, not to AUTHORITARIAN FACISTS!

A few minutes ago, I heard Pete Hegeseth say that the military should be run like a business. Why in the actual fuck Do people not understand that the military, or any of our governmental agencies for that Matter, are not businesses. Their sole purpose is serving and protecting all Americans.

If the current state of affairs is bothering you, contact your representatives. From local to federal, demand they stop representing corporate interests and the wealthy and begin to represent the 80% of the country's population who earn less than 100 k per year.

I'd like to understand how the party of "free speech" (republicans) is able to reconcile things like Trump's call to "punish" Comcast because Seth Meyers made fun of him. If Trump follows through with his threat, wouldn't it constitute a violation of Comcast's 1st Amendment rights?

Republicans trust the results of an election held during Biden's presidency, but they didn't trust it during Trump's first term, and they're concerned about election integrity going into his second term. Is anyone else confused by this?

If we don't change the democratic party's leadership, we will never go anywhere. We'll have more of the same: Weak, "let's wait and see", "we don't want to offend anyone" B.S. The current democratic party doesn't want to change things. They just proved it by putting Connolly in the top seat of HOC.

Aristotle saw the struggle in governance as between oligarchy, which he defined as governance by the rich, and democracy, governance by the poor. He saw each group would govern the city to serve their interests. Nothing changed. Save Democrats are just as beholding to wealthy as Republicans are.

Watching Trump's moron-lago press conference: "No wars under me" 10 minutes later he said Obama wouldn't do it, so I launched a lot of misses at Assan. What part of that isn't a war?

As Matt Yglesias and others have observed, the main reason Congress ends up passing everything in 'Christmas Tree' bills is Senator Rand Paul blocks everything as single item bills.

Just because Democrats are the party of educated, compassionate, and thoughtful people doesn't mean we can sit on our asses and watch the country fall apart. Continually crying about how things are going shows how weak we are. Quit being the fucking victims. learn how and be prepared to fight.

I spent 3 years defending our homeless pro bono when Harper brought in the Safe Streets Act and started fining the community ad nauseum. I'll do it again, you stupid fuck, and we'll make you pay. Fuck you. #homelessness #community #poverty #cdnpoli #housingcrisis #homeless #ONpoli #unconstitutional

It was a conflict of interest for Biden to pardon his son. It was also completely legal. It was a conflict of interest for Trump to pardon Charles Kushner. It was also completely legal. You can’t oppose one without opposing the other.

My Maga friends are walking, eyes open into the flames of ruin. Now, they are beginning to take notice that Trump fully intends to do the things I've been warning them about for the past year. Nevertheless, they want to believe that the writing on the wall is a love letter.
