Best way I know to measure Tech Debt: 1. Measure KTLO by team. 2. If it's high (e.g >30%), that’s a signal. 3. Look into why is so high. It might be expertise gaps, tangled code, manual work... 4. Rank the issues and prioritize to reduce KTLO newsletter.techworld-with-milan.com/p/how-google...

Acabo de ver la bio más absurda del mundo: “formerly at a superposition at xxxx”

Really interesting paper: "Hierarchical cultural values predict success and mortality in high-stakes teams" 👉 "These results establish that endorsing cultural values related to hierarchy can simultaneously improve and undermine group performance." www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

Of course open source software has been used in war before, but seeing ArduPilot Mission Planner being used to blow up Russian strategic bombers is still wild.

Nobody wants to work anymore

My favorite description of the term “privilege” is who gets the benefit of the doubt and who doesn’t. We see it every day in who gets the rules rigorously enforced against them and who gets a slap on the wrist or warning when the rules say there are heavy consequences for their actions.

In 1995, Jeff Bezos's parents, Jackie and Mike Bezos, invested $245,573 in Amazon.com, which was a loan to help Bezos start his online bookstore. Entrepreneurship is a carnival game.

¿conozco a algún contractor .Net? cc @vgaltes.com

Oh gosh… someone thought it was a good idea to spam me on LinkedIn but instead of a message, he sent me a video of himself 🤦

Really like this post: "How To Get Good at Strategy" Strategy is: - Identifying the most critical challenge in a situation - Addressing this challenge with some kind of coherent approach - Having coordinating actions focused on overcoming this challenge newsletter.canopy.is/p/how-to-get...

Is this Tech Dead? www.isthistechdead.com

"The real leadership skill is not figuring out how to do it all; it’s knowing when and how to push back. That’s where strategic refusal comes in. Strategic refusal is a structured method to force prioritization and push back on unrealistic demands that jeopardize team productivity, morale..."

Business Won't Let Me and other lies we tell to ourselves www.architecture-weekly.com/p/business-w...

"Most developers blame the software, other people, their dog, or the weather for flaky, seemingly “random” bugs. The best devs don’t ....They might not find the reason immediately, they might never find it, but they never blame external circumstances." endler.dev/2025/best-pr...

It's a bit technical if you don't code, but this is an amazing example of the limitations of LLMs Basically, hallucinations are inherent, predicable to some extent, and therefore manipulable and exploitable www.theregister.com/AMP/2025/04/...

- Creas algo open source. - Gusta mucho.

Coding != software development

I wrote this to help my team build an Operational Excellence mindset. I actually shared it internally with the whole company. Sharing it here in case it's useful to someone: docs.google.com/document/d/1...
