MY POV Kendric Tonn (4/4) @kendrictonn The last two years, though, I’ve been dabbling in other things. During the COVID lockdowns, I discovered some mid-century Japanese printmakers, and started doing watercolors in a style inspired by them.

MY POV Kendric Tonn (3/4) @kendrictonn The still-life/model alternating rhythm really has continued for me ever since I finished at the FAA, in fact. I’m not saying I run my life to a perfect school schedule, but generally I’ll have a model project and a still-life or two going at any given time.

MY POV Kendric Tonn (2/4) @kendrictonn I’m still painting in oils, working from life, doing still-lifes and figure paintings and the occasional portrait commission. The school taught pretty much exactly what I wanted to do, and I’ve kept on doing similar things.

MY POV Kendric Tonn (1/4) @kendrictonn Greetings! My name is Kendric Tonn; I graduated from the FAA back in 2011, after spending a couple years in Florence and a couple in Sweden. I moved back to the USA–dear old Ohio–after finishing school, and I’ve been painting more or less full-time since then.
