A severe thunderstorm watch has just been posted for the far western panhandle. This includes Escambia, Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties. #flwx

Good morning. Expect a busy day in the panhandle of weather warnings. Strong winds are the most likely severe weather but isolated tornadoes are possible as well. Have multiple ways to receive warnings today. #flwx

A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect for Northern Miami-Dade and Southern Broward County. 2-3 inches of rain has fallen and up to 2 inches more is possible.

A Flash Flood Warning has also been issued for Escambia County, where 2.5 to 3.5 inches of rain has fallen and another 2 to 3 inches of rain is possible. Remember - Turn Around, Don't Drown! #flwx

Good morning! There will be a significant severe weather outbreak over the next 48 hours. The threat in Florida today is largely limited to the east coast. Tomorrow's threat has been raised to an enhanced threat (level 3/5) for portions of the panhandle (including Tally). #flwx

Key West set a new record rainfall for today's date. The old record was 119 years old! #flwx

The Weather Prediction Center has indicated a marginal risk of excessive rainfall for tomorrow along the peninsula, and for Monday along the panhandle. Hopefully we will get some needed rainfall for areas in drought. #flwx

SPC took notice of the weather in the Keys and just issued a marginal risk (Level 1/5) for severe weather today and tonight. #flwx

Tornado Warning issued for portions of the Florida Keys!

Florida Forest Serbice is currently battling a wildfire in Hernando County that broke out this afternoon. No homes are being threatened at this time. #flwx

Much of the panhandle is now in a slight risk (level 2/5) for severe weather on Monday. Jacksonville and portions of North Florida are in a marginal risk (level 1/5). SPC states it will be an all-hazards risk, with damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes possible. #flwx

The Gator Fire in Martin County is fully contained as of this evening with 188.5 acres burned. Great work by Martin County Fire Rescue and the Florida Forest Service. #flwx

Just in from Martin County Sheriff's Office: another brush fire has ignited this afternoon in Hobe Sound near the Medalist Golf Club. Homes in the immediate area are being evacuated. #Flwx

Update: Martin County Fire Rescue reports that the brush fire in Palm City has grown to 150 acres but is 90% contained. #flwx
