Did you know there’s a whole spectrum of stuff in between “spend all weekend cleaning your house” and “don’t do anything at all because it’s so overwhelming”? Wipe down one counter. Put away half a load of laundry. Vacuum one room. You can do a little bit, and it helps! And then you can stop!

I wish more people were talking about egg prices as less of a “muh egg prices!” thing and more about the fact that there is an organized egg cartel that is illegally price gouging and almost certainly illegally price fixing and reaping massive, gigantic profits.

Ok, I'm doing a version of this thread for 🧪 who are new to political conditions where info security is a safety issue: 1. Don't make public lists of people who are engaging in acts of resistance 2. Be weary of calls to advertise acts of subversion 3. Don't live post resistance meetings

Can do. What happens: If you're not a constituent: your message is thrown away. They are not allowed to contact you and you will never hear from them. If you ARE a constituent: they want to log: - your name and address - you message (if a call, this is a summary, especially if the lines are busy)

Yeah if someone encourages you to call committee chairs because they "represent all of us," one of two things is true: 1. They don't know what they're talking about and you should discard their advice, or 2. They know this isn't true but lying about it is how they farm contact info for fundraising.
