If the UK government wants to defend Israel militarily, put it to a vote in Parliament. Let the country see which MPs support a genocidal state.

If we get involved in this conflict, it will be the stupidest geopolitics decision made for generations. I can't think of a single advantage to the UK, and it would.proge catastrophically difficult to disengage. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

As predicted, the front pages of BBC & CNN are full of Israel-Iran. Nothing on Gaza or West Bank. Remember that all comms are cut in Gaza as they starve. Exactly what Netanyahu wanted. They can do anything they like now as the vapid MSM chase the new squirrel released for their distraction.

Sword of the Sea launches August 19th. "After playing for a while, the ground has become a gorgeous, patchwork fusion of sand and sea." #SwordoftheSea

I go to a lot of cons so I have a lot of these, but one of my favorites is that I once sat on Evangeline Lilly's sandwich.

The ‘Millionaire Exodus’ the UK Media Told You About Never Actually Happened The equivalent of 30 stories a day were published about an exodus of wealthy people that a new study finds was "non existent" bylinetimes.com/2025/06/10/t...

The plunder of our seas by industrial fishing is a monstrosity in which almost everyone unwittingly collaborates. For decades this truth has been deliberately hidden from us. Now at last the consensus is cracking. This week's column. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Russia & Israel are the greatest threats to world peace and stability right now. The US might not be far behind.

You know what people with lots of money do when you give them more money? Stick it with the money they already have. You know what they don't do? Spontaneously start new business ventures... because if they wanted to do that, they already had the money to do it.

You can get a better animated look at all these projects and a overview of my 14 years in the industry on my portfolio and I’m available for work remotely in the UK, any and all shares are always grateful appreciated.

❗️BREAKING — The UK Ministry of Defence admits it is “currently training” Israeli military personnel in Britain. The Labour government has until now refused to answer questions about this, which we covered last year. 👉 www.declassifieduk.org/amid-lebanon...

Zack Polanski, the deputy leader of @greenparty.org.uk, was cited by MEE as saying: “It’s been clear for all to see that both the former and current government have stood with the oppressors, not the marginalised": www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/6/...

Accurate. Part of the issue is understanding you need to stop. I had a macho attitude to how much work i could do, didn't really understand that i was cooking myself, and when i finally broke it took literally years to recover.

I still standby the idea that there are many prop and environmental artists who can take that energy and vibe in how they show off there portfolio work and not have it be static renders and without having too much art and animation wise to make it a forever project. Use them displays for poly counts

I've released a simple RTAO implementation, written for the DevGames2025 conference. a poor-man's RTAO, showing how much the real problem is denoising. I wanted to write the simplest RT as an introduction to it. Vulkan+HLSL+Code generation for Descriptors github.com/JorenJoestar...

Gorse is often burned in the belief this controls its spread. But this 23-year-long study shows that, in fact, burning “triggers mass seed regeneration & rapid regrowth, locking the landscape in a cycle of thick gorse cover.” Left alone, gorse breaks up naturally. maeveleith.co.uk/wp-content/u...

"The moment I walked into a small café just two kilometres from the riverfront, I noticed something that said more than any conversation could. Leaflets. Scattered on every table, printed by the local military administration – not ads or menus or posters with just three words: Listen. Run. Hide."

In March, Ministers launched the ‘National Estate for Nature’ group – bringing together some of England's largest landowners to do more to restore nature. I've now mapped what these landowners own - & set out what the National Estate for Nature should do next 1/ whoownsengland.org/2025/06/10/m...

Just voted against the government's Planning and Infrastructure Bill after they rejected our efforts to bring in measures to build social housing. Sadly, this Bill is a charter for greed, giving developers carte blanche to line their pockets building luxury homes for the rich that most can't afford

Watching what is happening in the US should be a warning to all of us.

I see he's one of those no thought, no filter, loudest voice in the room kinda guys. The world definitely needs more CEOs like that.

Carbon capture and storage (#CCS) just keeps falling - very - short "Climeworks does not capture enough carbon units to offset its own operations, emissions amounting to 1,700 tons of CO2 in 2023. ... it has captured a maximum of one thousand tons of CO2 in one year" heimildin.is/grein/24581/...

The Israeli military’s destruction of #Gaza’s education and cultural infrastructure amount to war crimes and the crime against humanity of extermination, a UN_HRC -mandated investigative body said on Tuesday news.un.org/en/story/202...

Pro-tip to the press: you're allowed to just _interview the protestors_.

AI losers are so incredibly out of touch. This isn't a proper UV map and it even did a botched wireframe on top. Completely unusable texture with more work than necessary to fix.

Rather than encouraging staff to resign for caring about human life - how about Labour MPs who have watched this happen & tried to silence dissent lose their seats instead?

"Tories: The End of an Error" will now be published by @bylinetimes.bsky.social before the Byline Festival (11 July). The lawyers have just signed off on it (yay!) Thanks very much for the patience of all who pre-ordered it. Delays were out of my hands - my original publisher went bust, dammit.

If we want to prevent the most catastrophic impacts of the climate crisis, there must be no new oil and gas drilling. The evidence could not be clearer. So why won't Starmer commit to leaving all fossil fuels in the ground?

Difficult to imagine why media companies owned by multi millionaires and billionaires have been so keen to promote false stories about wealth taxes. Let's stop this nonsense. Tax the rich. taxjustice.net/press/millio...

IPCC: renewables are 10 times more efficient than new nuclear at CO2 mitigation; new nuclear builds are vastly over-cost & over-time; since all small modular reactors are in design stage, industry forecasts must be treated with scepticism; & waste, proliferation & siting problems are all unresolved👇

Today, I wrote a letter urging the Foreign Secretary to take action regarding the Madleen aid flotilla, which has been seized by Israel in a violation of international law. I also joined the huge Freedom Flotilla Coalition emergency protest outside the Foreign Office.

I think it's important to continuously reiterate that federal science funding grants in the US (and elsewhere) are made because the government, with the input of panels of independent experts, have concluded that the work being done is IN THE INTEREST OF THE NATION.

I’m pretty broke (not a sob story), and have been for a few years. If I was offered a gig on the new Harry Potter series, Id still turn it down flat. Why the fuck are successful actors, with already great careers, saying yes to this shit. Fuck ‘em all. #transrights

First time I’ve seen this in the credits. Heretic. Great film too.

What will it take to burst the hugely financialised fantasy bubble of artificial so-called intelligence, #AI? And why is the UK government so in the thrall of this fantasy? www.theguardian.com/technology/2...
