Happy International Women’s Day!

Happy 100th anniversary to Delta Air Lines! Founded on this day in 1925 as Huff Daland Dusters, Inc., the company grew from a battler of boll weevils to one of the world’s largest airlines. Right now, more than 650 Delta aircraft are in the sky.

Did a day trip to DC yesterday and honestly I get why everyone wants to keep using National, it’s a fantastic airport with great connections to the region. It’s a hard balancing act to keep the airport functioning and allowing high levels of access.

Is this really what we needed right now? How is this improving the NAS in any way? Leaving aside anything about individuals who actually use these, and even the general state of US aviation at the moment, there are bigger NOTAM concerns like issuance frequency and legibility.

Not a bad day for rail transit in the U.S., as MARTA launched its new Stadler CQ-400 railcar fleet, while @valleymetro.org began vehicle testing on its South Central Corridor. Keep on keeping on, U.S. transit agencies!

We are watching in realtime the systematic unraveling of decades aviation safety accident investigative precedent and process from the President of the United States.

There has been an incident at DCA airport in Washington, possibly involving a collision between two aircraft. The airfield is currently closed until further notice. Inbound aircraft are diverting. We will share more details as we learn them. flightradar24.com/airport/dca

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!

Well…today was a day for work.

Nothing beats the feeling of making a flight you listed for out of desperation but not expecting to make it

TIL the Dutch name for the Pacific Ocean translates to “Big Ocean” which checks out

Its release day! A new #tripreport is now #live on Place in Time. For this #travelblog I visited Denver, a city I’d long wanted to visit. Now that I have, however, we’ll see how quick I am to return though… Full report is now live here -> placeintime.net/denver-in-7-...

It’s music rewind season where I find out “yes I listened to the San Francisco Symphony for 5000 minutes and my total listening time was over 51,000 minutes”

Bread! (Yes that’s an oven rack on cups, I don’t own a wire rack)

Buckling down and working on my latest trip report for placeintime.net today, and it’s honestly probably the most negative report I’ve written to date. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy the city in question, just didn’t particularly have a great experience with it either. It’ll be out next Tuesday 🌎✈️🏔️

Reposting an old favorite from the other place in honor of a place I miss a lot but have fond memories of

Both my teams won today so now I get to watch both of them in a bowl game. #GoBroncos 💛🐴 #GoBlue 💙〽️

I must say it is quite nice to talk about vacations with someone and we transition in Florida seamlessly from a beach weekend to a few days in Rome

I really need to go back to nights. Getting up at 3am even on days off is getting annoying

Finally made it over to bluer skies. Considering the industry, some blue skies right now would be very much appreciated... ✈️🔵⛅
