I have the "Too hot for Amazon!" book, Pure Evil from Kristopher Triana! It's got illustrations, but as I was taking pictures, I couldn't find one i thought Bluesky would let me put up....

Been reading this novel of medieval horror, and it's fantastic! I haven't really read anything like this before! I devoured the book in 2 days, finishing it today, then going forward 800 years to S. A. Barnes Soace horror GHOST STATION.

Is it unreasonable to just quit my job, instead of doing this "Yearly Reflection" and my Goals for 2025?

The horror library, Harvest Home, by Thomas Tyron. A book club edition, and the great Centipede Press edition with an intro by Tim Curran! An absolute classic of American folk horror, you need to read it!

A tiled pattern I came up with

Nothing made me angry at the youth quite like when my son called the Street Fighter win pose an "Emote"

Doodling in 60 degrees. I may turn this into a quilt?

Card Deck #42

My books from @grindhousepress.bsky.social (Grindhouse Press) have exceeded the 2 alloted shelves! Time to make some room.

Of all the upsetting things that happen in The Outlast Trials, your doctor saying: "You're beautiful. I am going to shower you in humiliation and contempt" is the most upsetting.

There's some kind of magic in prepping dried chiles. It always puts me in such a relaxed good mood; there's something special about the fruit smell, the confident slices with the knife, the little rattle of the seeds falling out.

Santa knows just what I like! How about that! He even got @danieljvolpehorror.bsky.social to sign my name in the book. Also my lettered edition if Dead Sea matches my initials in an odd coincidence.

My coworker once brought in a rubber chicken to the office. Which really annoyed another person that sat in the same area as us. So naturally we took it apart and hooked it up to an electric air pump. It made a FANTASTIC noise. Wait, were we the assholes?

While I am very excited for the return of my favorite fighting game Virtua Fighter, it's going to be sad if it turns into the modern style, full of guest characters, split into seasons, etc. But this is the world we are in, and every day we move further from God.

Ah, the days when books had cigarette ads in them. Were they ALWAYS cigarette ads?

The 1990 horror novel DEATH SPORE, and cookbook that definitely did not remind me of this book from my past....

Mail Day! Grindhouse Press #107. Corpse Mountain by @andersenprunty.bsky.social!

A previous quilt project of mine. That free motion quilting is fun to do.

"We fucked up the air, the water, we fucked up each other. Why don't we just finish the job by flushing our brains down the toilet?"

Results of origami during work calls

The fruitcakes this year are 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦

[B]ut above all there gently rose that impious, insidious scurrying; gently rising, rising, as a stiff bloated corpse gently rises above an oily river that flows under endless onyx bridges to a black, putrid sea."

30 years of Playstation? Thinking back to seeing a store demo of Battle Arena Toshinden running and being blown away. I should go look up that game and relive how amazing it was! ......... Ooooooh, oh my goodness that looks terrible.

My origami journey has gone off the rails. This this what madness is?

The Horror Library: The Severed Press Editions of Curran's Hive series! "A rolling atomic putrescence, a living nuclear chaos, a surging and verminous plasma that was gigantic and alive and crystalline...[It] filled the mind and sucked the marrow from the souls of men..."

Quilt top, I wanted to try out patches that are gem shaped. These patterns and colors came out a bit more country/pioneer than I normally like, but it was fun to make

"[H]is mind was overpowered with a vast diseased vision of the universe..." The Saliva Tree, Brian Aldiss

That urge to pull over on the way to work, get out of the car, fall to your knees and scream and scream and scream until this reality rends apart

Been reading this book The Ancient Trap by Paul E Cooley, I have enjoyed Cooley in the past, the Black Series, the Derelict series(although come to think of it I didn't read all the books in either series). I really enjoyed his book Closet Treats. This book is pretty good, it's a nice easy read.

What does my mail carrier think of me....

I saw Smile 2 last night..... Why has 2024 been so good for horror? I Saw the TV Glow, The Substance, Terrifier 3 are legit GOAT horror movies, not to mention Smile 3, Vermines/Infested were great, I still have to see Longlegs, Cuckoo, Heretic, Immaculate, Humane, Alien Romulus... Nosferatu soon.

The Horror Library, Clive Barker "[T]his was the way the world will end. A warren of rooms, cars on the freeway winding their way home, the dead and almost dead exchanging blows by candlelight." "It was blind men with axes; it was the great on their knees begging not to die at the hands of idiots."

Current quilt project process. It's based on 60 degrees of the Fibonacci sequence.

First post on Bluesky! Time to invent a new cool me! Put all that LAME stuff behind me! Anyway I have been playing around with these stacked rotating origami folds and then drawing the resulting pattern.
