Susan Glasser has seen this before. “This [Putin] playbook is the same one being followed now by Trump. It’s important to be clear-eyed about this. I don’t know where it will end, or how far Trump will take it.” www.newyorker.com/news/letter-...

Apparently this woman has a delusional belief that someone cares what she thinks. You had your chance to help stop this Nikki. Instead, you endorsed it—every damn bit of it. And you might want to stay away from high windows. Russians & their fool tools, you know. thehill.com/homenews/adm...

Despicable. The Musk-Trump regime is going to deport these desperate people for being in the country lawfully while black. None of them ate any cats. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Why did the Musk-Trump regime fire the top JAG officers (military lawyers) from all of the branches? Do they want to put in their own lawyers who will never render an opinion that any order is unlawful and should not be carried out? Or is there more of a back story? Hope we find out.

Side note. There are eight members of the joint chiefs. the chair is black. the CNO (navy) is a woman. the other six are white guys. chair and the cno got fired tonight.

Extortion, pure and simple.

Elon Musk recently posted on his site that another lawyer and I are “undermining civilization.” He goes on to ask if we suffered childhood trauma and concludes by suggesting we are suffering from “generational trauma.” This is my response. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/my-o...

“Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo says the talks appear to be focused on new concessions for American companies in the Russian oil industry, including a deal for American companies to participate in Russian oil exploration in the Arctic.” heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/february-1...

Glad my senator frels strongly about continuing U.S. support for the Ukrainians in their fight against the Russian invaders. And he will continue to be passionate right up to when he caves. Again. youtu.be/JBEvqjQ6axE

Back when our President was not a Putin fool tool.

Yeah, well, Chris. You’re right. But you knew who Trump was. You knew he would do vast, lasting & perhaps irreparable damage to our representative democracy & the rule of law if he got back into power. Yet, I don’t remember you doing squat to stop it. www.thefp.com/p/chris-chri...

Michael McFaul, former Ambassador of the former United States of America to the Russian Federation, to Marco Rubio: “There are 2 kinds of people in Washington—you be things, & you do things. What good is it to be the Sec’y of State, if you don’t get to do what…is in the American national interest?”

Gov. Kathy Hochul: “Donald Trump tweeted ‘Long Live the King.’ I’m here to say New York hasn’t labored under a king in over 250 years, & we are not, we sure as hell are not going to start now.” More of this please.

Robert Tracinski: “‘Many of us had worried that this negotiation would look like the Munich conference of 1938. It is looking more like the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. It’s not appeasement, it’s an alliance.” open.substack.com/pub/charlies...
