There's a project called T-rex within safran to bring the M88 to a higher power. Also I've no idea if it would be fit for the Gripen, all this is quite technical. Even for cars you don't transplant an engine so easily.

M88 is the Engine of Rafale but it carries two of them, while Gripen has only one. Alone it is not powerful enough.
M53P2, the engine of Mirage2000, would be but it is no longer produced.
Eurofighter has more powerful engines than Rafale. IDK about the ITAR status. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurojet...

With that kind of money, they could easily buy a copy or two of France's next generation aircraft carrier, plus the Rafale's that will go with it, and a few atomic bombs if they're kind enough.

Mirage 2000-5F is old now and no longer produced. Canada could go for Rafale, an ITAR free plane. Gripen is a good plane but with many US components - and a limited range.

Pour l'AAE, ça serait efficace de compléter les 2000D avec davantage de cellules passées en RMV, et de retaper des alfajet pour les missions d'entraînement et police, en libérant ainsi les rafale.

Pour le m53 on serait déjà au delà de la très petite série, témoin le contrat taiwanais de 300M€ avec safran. Grecs, Indiens et bientôt ukrainiens seraient très contents d'en bénéficier. Ainsi que l'AAE pour ressortir qq dizaines de 2000D. Et pourquoi pas d'autres pièces de l'avion.

Mirage's will have arrived by the end of March. I'd say they should come after the French budget has been voted (so possibly next week), only my opinion. An unknown number of mothballed Mirage 2000C (not -5) could be restored and upgraded to the latest standard, it would cost a lot.

Notons aussi qu’à partir du F4, le Spectra en mode collaboratif permet de détecter un ennemi en mesurant l’émission de son propre radar. La furtivité de l’ennemi est alors sans effet.
Et aussi, l’OSF qui est un moyen de détection optique par la chaleur dégagée.
Donc, c’est pas si simple.

Plus important, on annonce aussi le RBE2-XG qui pourrait identifier les avions furtifs de plus loin. Jusqu’à ce que ceux-là aient aussi l’équivalent, en rétablissant l’asymétrie.
Par ailleurs, le SU-57 utilise aussi un radar en bande L qui verrait directement les avions furtifs.
