PoE2's tooltips are absolutely insane monsters and may give you some thoughts on how to progressively disclose massive systems.

Just noticed the little specular highlight that follows your cursor on the health/mana orbs in PoE2. Nice.

I adore how PoE2 automatically activates checkpoint obelisks when you activate a big fight. Like, "I know you missed this or just came from a different angle. No worries big guy, you go have fun."

Wow, Marvel Rivals has some super slick UI, interaction, and animation design. I'm really blown away.

Your icons from game-icons.net don't have to suck! Too many indies are just grabbing these directly from the page and slopping it into a UI. With just a few extra steps, you can go from basic to bumpin'. Or something. I don't know what the kids say nowadays. 1/

The Bazaar is great, but every time I try to go for shield Dooley I am met with nothing but poison builds every single fight. Guess my tanky boy has to wait until next patch.

For those looking for work, this is the time to get your butt in gear. Businesses are trying to retain budgets, and will be having a fresh new budget in just a month. Start reaching out to companies proactively that aren't even hiring to get on their radar and avoid their slush piles. You got this!

Maps. Maps are rad. I recently used a wardley map for a game design client to help the team create a strategic north star for their project. This sort of strategy work is one of my favorite things to do because, when done correctly, empowers the whole team.

Ya know, if we want images to be accessible on here, why is an alt text prompt not surfaced as soon as you upload an image? I've forgotten to include it so many times, only to have to delete a post and redo it for the alt text. "If it's not usable, it's not [accessible]!"

The more complex your games' systems are, the more important it will be to get hands on with your game and let your subconscious processor take the wheel. You could logic out how Pong will feel. It is much harder to logic through a complex and responsive social system.
