Aconcagua Summit Day! 21/1/25. left Camp 3 at 5am, A steady pace up the traverse, a narrow path with sheer drops along and up to the “Cave” before our ascent of the Canaleta. Once up the Canaleta the summit was in sight, a short scramble..then views of all the Andes! 🏔️🇦🇷🏔️🇦🇷😎

Arrived at Camp 2 (5600m) yesterday. Hardest day yet hauling 18kg of gear, all of us finding it tough, my own asthmatic lungs tested. Others dance past us light by use of porters, perhaps we are the foolish ones. Yet we earned our sunset. 🌅 🏔️🇦🇷⛺️ #mountains #Aconcagua

14/1/25 Another trip up to Camp 1 and past it for Acclimatisation up to 5300 metres. Excellent weather and cracking views down to Basecamp. Descending down to camp we were happy in the knowledge this was the last time we would descend, next time we would only be going up. 🏔️🇦🇷
