Feeling…unsettled? Put that to good use with eerie readings by Douglas Gwilym and Shelley Lavigne! Wednesday at 7:00 PST. Join us! @douglasgwilym.bsky.social @shelleylavigne.bsky.social #Booksky www.storyhour2020.com

So, Trump is the antichrist and what is going to happen in the next 4 years is the book of revelations. Which came back through time and space as a psychic scream and was picked up by a sensitive named John the revelatory. (A La Arthur C. Clarke)

If you haven't read @jamielackey.bsky.social 's latest short story in @castofwonders.org, you're missing out. The best spec fiction out there right now is in the short space, and this story is proof. In short: Kids get sent to a magic mine. What happens is... not what you expect.

Welcome to 681. We have two tales, about an artist whose work has universal impact (by @frankoreto.bsky.social), and the caretaker of a very unique hotel who has trouble leaving her work at work (by @kathleenschaefer.bsky.social). talestoterrify.com/episodes/681-frank-oreto-kathleen-schaefer

I finally got to make something in one of the tart pans I got at the goodwill in November. Ricotta tart full of caramelized onion, leek, mushrooms and garlic. Also made bread and cod braised in coconut milk. Fun good weekend.

My very short and yet somehow epic tale that answers the age old question Why did the chicken cross the road came out Tales to Terrify It's the dose of poultry pathos (avian adventure ?) you didn't know you needed. talestoterrify.com

Twenty some odd pages into the cookbook Flavorama by Arielle Johnson and it's just wonderful. If you like science of cooking cookbooks, I highly recommend this one.

I chain up loose carts at ALDI like those quarters are my retirement plan.

This was a fun story to write.

What are your favorite food centric films? I'll start...

Sat down and wrote for the first time this year. I asked my Stoker nominated friend @douglasgwilym.bsky.social what I should write about and now I'm 600 words into a horror story about the dangers of New Years Resolutions. Hope everyone is having a productive start to their new year.

Happy Saturday! Here at the pod, we're trying to teach the skeletons how to play "Jingle Bells" on their ribs like xylophones, but so far it's a mess. What horror delights are you all up to this weekend?

Welcome to episode 673. We have one festive tale for you this evening, about a man pulled away from Christmas with his family to search for his lost uncle. talestoterrify.com/episodes/673...

Book mail! The Ramsey Campbell story originally appeared in NOVUS MONSTRUM, co-edited by @douglasgwilym.bsky.social and myself.

FIST FULL OF MEATLOAF. Clint Eastwood's lost epic, of the meatloaf mix that made America. A two-fisted tale of pork, beef, breadcrumbs and the spices that drove them to their destiny. Costarring, roasted zucchini and roast smashed potatoes. Now playing in a kitchen very near me!

I scored some lovely cookware at my local thrift shop and have been using the heck out of them.

It's that cold time of year when an old man's fancy turns to casseroles. So I need suggestions. What casserole shall I make? You, there in the back, with the hat, yeah you. What say you?

Utterly brilliant. <sound on>

Made some ramen with my super gelatinous turkey broth along with some fish sauce, oyster sauce, black bean garlic sauce, and other things to fierce to mention.

Here's a handy starter pack featuring the awesome folks from the short story collection Novus Monstrum! It includes my story "The Pike" and is available from Dragon's Roost Press. thedragonsroost.biz/product/novu... go.bsky.app/BeARpF3

Doing this interview was a blast!

Just reread Octavia Butler's Clay's Ark. man I love that book.

About to buy my umpteenth pair of swoveralls (the new velour just dropped.) I essentially dress 24/7 like an enormous bearded toddler. And I've never been more sartorially satisfied.
