Switch 2 tariff situation is terrible. Both U.S. & Canada will not be pre-ordering tomorrow, April 9, as planned. Nintendo of America's president said these 2 things in an NPR interview that suggest a launch price hike could be coming. $499. $599? Tough to say given rapidly evolving. (Cont'd)...

It feels like Metroid Prime 4 is coming in for a soft launch. The franchise keeps getting a backseat. Nintendo's just like: "meh, oh by the way here's some new gameplay." The dream: it would have been Switch 2 launch exclusive and propped up as something special from Nintendo.

Could Nintendo be dropping the price of the 2017 Switch and the OLED model soon? Taking some guesses: - Switch 2: $399 - $449 - Switch OLED: $299 - Switch: $249 It's having a 30-minute Direct presentation on Switch ahead of Nintendo Switch 2's bigger reveal on April 2nd.

Monster Hunter Wilds having a reasonable “short” 25-hour campaign that rolls credits — and opens up into an endgame that offers depth and discovery is one of the number one things I ask for (and complain about). More focused experiences that focus on fun and challenge. Depth beyond if you want. 🔥

The Metal Eden trailer vibe caught my eye in the PlayStation State of Play. I had a sense the team must be good — 2017’s Ruiner looked dope. Seems like it. Love seeing original IP from passionate teams. It sucks to see games get cancelled, but even worse is not playing the great ones that exist.
