Anyone besides me absolutely hate the updated Adobe Pro? Dear gawd, they fixed so much that wasn't broken. It's like learning a whole new suite of software.

The A/C is broken. Barely cools. West-facing apartment with red brick facade. The compressor is bad, and we get a new unit tomorrow. It's barely below 75 degrees inside, Better than outdoors, I reckon. The last time it went out was on a swamp ass hot June night.

Heat dome! Hydrate! Limit outdoor activities! I was just telling my mom today that as kids we'd be out all afternoon in this without so much as a water bottle. Of course, now much closer to Methuselah than childhood, my water bottle is attached at the hip.

Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria, and now Iran itself. For those of us who lived through the Iran Hostage Crisis, helping elect Reagan, this seems like a predictable culmination of 46 years of pent up anger. The hawks have had their way. Now, we wait to see whether it soothes or it seethes.

Music in my head: Aerosmith earworm and Sweet Emotion segued into No More No More because in the 70's you listened to entire albums. Those opening chords then morphed into Chasing Heather Crazy. If you went to house parties in SW Ohio when the Toys album was out you heard it. Just ask Bob Pollard.

Half the mistakes I make on Duolingo are spellcheck. It's amazing how far they've come with language on Android keyboards. But, just like English, I tend to miss the occasional misspelling or just a wrong word. Hear that two note sound of denial and *headslap* I miss old message board preview panes.
