After refreshing myself on #cupfungi, I made a journey back out to these scalloped #Geopyxis vulcanalis to check the smell. When crushed, they smell strongly of sulfur, hence the common name Fairy Farts. They do infact smell like Fairy Farts. #fungifriends 🍄📸 #naturalist 🌿 #mushrooms #mycology

A #Bromeliad from #Colombia in the genus #Neoregelia. It collects rainwater in the middle, where it has an Anemone-like structure that grows #flowers out of the water.
