Fursuit building is wild because you'll spend 12 hours getting a base sculpt absolutely perfect and then when you shave it you basically have to sculpt it all over again with your clippers.

This. Even IF weaving together fur was an option, which it isn't, if I had to get a loom and make the fibers and then weave all of the fur THEN build it... your fursuit just went from $6k+ to $50k+. Its already a hand-made item that takes dozens of hours, there's absolutely no way.

I've been trying to figure out how other fursuit builders are getting the most IMMACULATE shaving work on the stuff they're making and I'm too shy to just ask any of them what clippers they're using to trim the fur. Idk if we're supposed to be gatekeeping this or if I just missed the memo but...
