To all you Goddesses out there, empower each other. Happy International Women's Day. 🩷

Friday feeling

My granddaughter ( age 7) had written a story for BBC 500 words competition. She made it through the first round. (super proud) So, as it's world book day today's she's gone as her own book. The girl with the forest in her hair. 💚 #WorldBookDay #Theoneshow

If you forgot to say "White Rabbit" first thing this morning, don't worry. You can counteract the bad luck by walking backwards up the stairs to bed tonight, saying, "Foxes." Wishing you all a happy St. Davids Day. 🌞 x

Great place for a light lunch, GF opinions, too. ( one happy daughter 😊) #wilding #mercerylane #Canterbury

'Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love' - Rumi I'm not sure where I read the use of this quote to do with the New Moon, but it fits perfectly.

From my 1983 diary, I'd booked to see Neil Innes & Roger McGough for £2.50 at the Lees Cliff in Folkestone. And a fab eve it was too.

Happy Birthday to George Harrison. 1943 – 2001 " If everyone who had a gun just shot themselves, there wouldn't be a problem" - G.H

We're going on a ghost hunt... Well, and afternoon tea at Tiny Tim's in Canterbury.

Weather Lore update 12th Feb "If the sun smiles on St Eulalie's Day, It is good for apples and cider, they say." However She is also known as the patron saint of snow.🌞🍺⛄🕊

Love Popmaster ( recorded) Nothing beats shouting at the telly with a glass of wine in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other. Happy Friday eve one and all 🥂🍕

Well, that's can't be good!

Cold but clear, definitely worth the effort of a post lunch potter

The word February is believed to have derived from the name 'Februa' taken from the Roman 'Festival of Purification'. The root 'februo' means'I purify by sacrifice'. Keep the light of your being burning bright in these dark days. Many blessings of Brid upon your home. 🕯🕯🕯 Happy Imbolc

May the blessings of the growing light be upon you. May the blessings of the quickening earth support you. May the blessings of the morning chorus regale you. May the blessings of the first shy flowers greet you. May the blessings of nature waking enlighten you. Happy Imbolc

A jolly good watch. Would recommend.

This evenings view.

Weather Lore Update. On the evening of the 25th of January, it is believed the winds will go into a fierce contest with each other. The Wind, which proves victorious at midnight in the 'Devil's Dancing Hour', will be the prevailing wind throughout the year. Go, Zephyrus!

Happy Burns Night. To all my chums that celebrate it. "There is no such uncertainty as a sure thing." - Robert Burns

Weather Lore update. 13th Jan Today is St Hilary's Day, also known as the Coldest Day of the Year. Wrap up warm or carry a dragon ❄️❄️❄️🐉

Helpful, you're welcome. Happy Saturday

Otherwise known as 'cack by moonlight' I'll definitely not be on board with this trend this year or anytime soon. 🤮

York view this morning.

Entertainment C 960 AD Thanks, Jorvik Viking Centre, for a great afternoon.

Best start to any year

Neil Innes, much missed 5 years is a long time without his talent in this world.

OTD 14 years ago, I was working in the Burgate. City watch told us to leave Canterbury asap because heavy snow was due to arrive. This was at 1pm. So I shut up shop and then 7 and a half hours later made it home to Whitstable. what a day!

Io Saturnalia! Here's to all the dancing, drinking, feasting, and full-on merry making. May your unchained revelry be ever plentiful!

10th December Art Advent.

9th Dec Art Advent 'A magic moment' by James Griffin

Just got told off by my 3 year old granddaughter. We were naming body parts and came to the forehead, when she exclaimed "no Grandma its three head, I'm 3! " Can't argue with that.

8th Dec Advent Art by Natalie Shau

7th Dec Advent Art Sparrows and Bamboo in Snow by Yoshimoto Gesso.

6th Dec Art Advent Matts Larsson by Carl Larsson

Such a shame. The aftermath of the fire at a Canterbury building previously used by Debenham's.
