Just absolutely shocking to bring one of the leaders of the free world into the Oval Office and dress him down to demand he thank Trump for Trump's greatness, while this actual leader tries to protect capitalistic democracy from Trump's flailing autocratic petrostate boss

For no other reason but that Trump perversely idolizes Putin, tens of millions of Americans are at this moment trying to convince themselves that Putin and his actions "aren't that bad". At least if Ukraine falls to Russia and fascism, THEY will have put up a fight.
