Hey don’t buy my books on Friday. Seriously, please don’t. If you really want a copy of one of them of all of them or some of them, message me and I’ll accidentally give them to you for free.

Brian Asman’s new fiction Nostrum Diana came out on DreadPop today, and it’s a doozy. Dark fiction at its finest. (Artwork by Jaime Stearns) www.patreon.com/dreadpopmagazine

I feel like half my job is battling wits with algorithms.

Someone dropped a bunch of puzzle pieces on next week’s DreadPop author. I’ll slowly start taking pieces off so you can guess who it is.

A bunch of folks woke up with this story, and based on the messages I’ve received, they are very happy about it. Chapman’s Dispense is a break up story, a cursed object story, and it’s a story with teeth. Lots of teeth. Teeth everywhere. #booksky 📚🩸💙 #indiebooks #indiehorror #indieauthors

Tomorrow DreadPop Magazine launches its story a week with Dispense by Clay McLeod Chapman. Get in now so you can be there for the magazine’s first ever story. And this is a hell of a tale to launch with. Here’s a little sneak peak at the story’s accompanying artwork (by Alexandrea Christianson).

Bring out your dread.

Small business Saturday and my newest is .99! www.amazon.com/dp/B0DD6PJ79D

A comedian faces the ghosts of his past while performing on stage. A father and son move to the country and come face to face with a local cryptid. A recovering alcoholic starts to believe his one night stand is demonic. The midway is filled with apparitions. Levitating: Stories #horrorbooks

If nothing else, I have pretty covers. #horrorbooks

My brand of horror tends to touch on grief, mental illness, and addiction. You could argue I’m writing what I know, but I think I’m writing what I don’t know. It’s what I live with, but I’m still trying to make sense of it. I’m asking myself questions I often don’t have the answer to.

Three reasons I think I’d be good at writing television shows: 1) I’m full of drama. 2) I’m good at cliffhangers. 3)

When writing fiction, I think it’s best to read the daily news and say, “How do I make my story more believable than that?”

There’s nothing really Christmasy about my collection of short stories, but I feel like horror stories, especially short story collections, just have a winter holiday feel to them. www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDGMBX66

Thank you!

Thank you!

Do you enjoy grief #horror? Does this site throttle links like the other ones? Lets see! www.amazon.com/dp/B0DD6PJ79D

It is much more fun scrolling on here than on previous platforms. I’m actually seeing what I follow instead of junk designed to make me respond out of anger.

The horror industry is in a boom, and I feel so lucky to involved in it. It’s a special time for the genre. There’s so much experimentation, so many new voices, new styles, even new subgenres are blooming.

Hello Bluesky #horror friends.

Bunker Dogs won the Bookstagram Award for best horror novel in 2023! I will celebrate by building my own bunker to hide from the world. Hopefully nothing will be living in the walls.

Hello Bluesky. How do I use thee?
