Merlin is great!

www.nytimes.com/2025/04/16/u... In addition to being illegal, the IRS just lost a third of its workers due to DOGE cuts. So who’s going to do the paperwork?

I've been in El Salvador all day fighting for the return of Mr. Abrego Garcia. The Trump Administration can lie all they want, but the Court said they failed to show he was part of MS-13. This is about bringing home a man they ADMIT should never have been abducted. I won't rest until then.

NEW: i spoke with several young AmeriCorps volunteers around the country who were abruptly pulled off projects building homes, readying forests for wildfire season, and working at food banks Tuesday afternoon. they are now on their way home thanks to DOGE cuts —

Horrible

Ugh

Open phones on SiriusXM #127 until midnight ET, 9pm PT. Call in and let's talk about it. 866.997.GRIT

New poll: Mayoral candidates, don't forget street safety! nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/04/15/v...

These are the people who Cuomo will be catering to, not regular people like us. Don’t be fooled! DREAM (Don’t Rank Evil Andrew for Mayor)!

AOC: I saw on Fox, Jeanine Pirro says that they found so many babies and two year olds and four year olds receiving social security. I got a notice for you Jeanine Pirro: those babies receive social security because their parents died. That’s not a waste. That’s humanity. That’s America.

NEWS: According to a whistleblower, Musk's DOGE stole "sensitive information on unions, ongoing legal cases and corporate secrets" then tried "to cover their tracks." The right wing is not about efficiency. They just steal from all of us to benefit themselves.

Some good news. Air pollution is a leading cause of illness, death, and poor quality of life, plus bikes and parks are awesome. wapo.st/42LaIRA

On July 24, 1974, in United Stated v. Nixon, the Supreme Court, ruling 8-0, ordered President Nixon to deliver the White House tape recordings to federal district court. Nixon complied. Sixteen days later he resigned the presidency.

Hilarious. Read the comments.

“If we normalize this, there’s no end.” This is what @schumer.senate.gov said he was waiting for. Defying court orders. We are there. Now what?

Harvard redid its whole homepage to push back against the administration’s demands. I mean, this is just a website but I think it’s kind of a great PR move: www.harvard.edu

We're at the point where it's stop them before they pick up their citizenship papers.

Letter from Dem Senator Chris Van Hollen (MD) requesting a meeting with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele To discuss MD father Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return "If Kilmar is not home by midweek – I plan to travel to El Salvador this week to check on his condition and discuss his release."

There we go. Support this man.

Yes. Thank god.

We need more people like this. People willing to stand up to the Orange One.

Q: I take that to mean you are not on board with trying to find “common ground” with Trump... A: @dananessel.bsky.social: "Common ground in destroying our federal system of government? His actions are antithetical to everything I've worked my entire life to support."

People like this disgust me. Making a career out of other people’s misfortunes.

They are totally aware that social security goes to children who’s parents have died. They are totally aware of the tragedy lived by millions of families for whom that social security is a tiny, tiny bandaid. They don’t care. The cruelty is the point.

Proud of my MD-08 Congressional App Challenge winners, Ayden Yeung of Wheaton High School and Julian Givens of Montgomery Blair High School, who shared their work at the House of Code event on the Hill today.
