apparently when i speak latin i have a tendency of reducing a "vu" syllable into just [u] and if that [u] is preceded by a front vowel it gets fronted to [ø] so i pronounce something like /no:.mi.na:'ti:.u̯us/ as [no.mi.na'ti.∅s]. that might be kind of fucked up honestly
