About halfway through this sweater yoke!

Sorting my yarn collection out a bit today. Here’s one of my favorites!

Progress!

Look at all the loose ends im gonna have to weave in 😭😭😭

I lost my favorite needle stoppers (they were green monstera leaf ones from @woolberryfiber.bsky.social ) so I had to collect a new pair from my LYS recently. Kitties on books!

My sweater-with-a-deadline is gonna be on the blocking mats today!

Today’s advice for knitters who want a particular piece to be mistake-free (perhaps it is a gift like this is) - take a photograph of it periodically (preferably BEFORE you weave in the loose ends lol). The camera sees shadows your brain normally ignores! (See my mistake?) #knitting

After doing four-color colorwork (using a combination of intarsia with many bobbins and stranded knitting), for a few rounds, working rounds with “only” three-color stranded colorwork feels comparatively easy and fast 😅

I decided to wet-block this Chinook Winds sweater. I was concerned that the fringe would mat up but it did not and it looks great!

Knitting and snacks! (Sleeves, and therefore sweater, is almost done!)

These are some of my favorite stitch markers I’ve made! They’re bronze-colored honeycomb on a little clasp which can be hooked onto fabric.

My sweater is 99.9% done! All the knitting is done, everything has been seamed and loose ends woven in, fringe attached and combed out, and now I’m on the final step - blocking the fringe. (That just means getting all the wrinkles out of it so it lays flat). This is partial progress here.

I’m almost halfway done with this scarf. I took a break from it the last few days (it *is* pretty monotonous) so I am feeling ready to knit a few inches on it tonight while on break at work.

Today I am adding beads as an afterthought into a shawl I’ve already started (but don’t want to restart). I made a reel showing a few more details but its too long for this app (if you are on instagram, it’s there on my account @ thingsimknitting).

Knitting furiously.

Last night I trimmed all these bits of fringe plus picked them open so they will look uniform and fluffy once done. I did this while participating at the Cozy Inn at @yarncom.bsky.social where we did a yarn themed lock-in for grownups, kinda like lock-ins we did at the YMCA as teenagers. FUN!!!

The scarf continues! I’m into the brioche section now which will make up the bulk of this project.

I love how tidy a tubular cast-on looks! This is the beginning of a scarf.
