After accidentally encountering it while doing routine practice, I figured out you can do the following in Mega Man X7: Load a save at Crimson Palace Beat Red and all eight refights Quit to menu from pause screen Start a new game, beat the intro boss This will wrong warp you to the final boss.

I finally got a full combo on Scattered and Lost on Hard in Rift! I've been working on it on and off for a couple weeks now, a couple of tricky bits kept giving me trouble and since the song is long and dense it was really easy to mess up. I'm surprised at my placement too, honestly.
