There is no better game developer in this industry than Sven Vincke there I said it Dude wasn't even wearing an armour this time around. What a chad.

Spent a really stressful week showcasing the last 8 months of work I made on game-dev.space but worth it! Great reception from the amazing Swiss #gamedev community! Hopefully we can push DevOps for games further together I'm gonna sleep 14 hours now though...

Moving on with my liminal open space walking sim. Made a light switch to turn off some lights and used some new PCG features like grammar and ray cast to partition and place most of the assets there. Not there yet, but moving forward :)

Still in need of an experienced Environment Concept Artist for @outlawheartgame.bsky.social - If you can design and illustrate individual building callouts like these examples (Building examples, dont reflect the games art style.) *Pay is per asset contract* DM for info #gamedev #indiegamedev

Hi @malicedafirenze.bsky.social 👋 I read on the SGDA Discord that we can contact you to be a part of the starter pack for swiss game Devs on bsky. Thanks for this resource 😊 Could I be a part of it as well ?

Pinned post time 📌 Hi 👋 I'm Alex (he/him), a swiss indie game developer. I used to work in AAA doing Motion Capture pipeline. I'm now working on providing accessible DevOps tools tailored for game development, improving work environment. If you're interested, hit me up! Links below 👇

Just a heads up: putting PCG Graphs inside of level instances is a good way to have Unreal Engine crash and bug. Not that I had to wrestle with UE the whole afternoon to get back to something somewhat usable, not at all, this is completely unrelated information.

I'm barely able to post anything regularly online and usually it's boring AF stuff like "look I can automate my game builds on there" Still some of you are willing to follow back and connect! Appreciate it :) Hopefully soon I'll be able to share more gamey and less devopsy news...

Got a call with a potential client today who wants to scale their game related product to the cloud. My first potential client. Turns out they have hundreds of clients on their own, which means that if I fail miserably, it's a hundred times worse. Cool. Coolcoolcool.

Managed to make a two-job system to test a Godot project on one hand and export the game on the other. It used to be a bit finicky to do both tests and builds because of a few bugs, now it's fixed! Just a few minutes from commit to publish on @itch.io automatically. Gotta love @godotengine.org :)

Finally managed to make GameCI's actions work on the @gitea.com instance. Tests and builds in less than 30 minutes which is honestly good, it can run multiple times a day no worries. This means the all of the major game engines are supported on Game Dev Space now :)

I would like to add that anyone who finds anything on the internet using a browser that hasn't been custom-built is yet another woke sheep.... wake up people this post has been sent using a cURL request in a custom shell

Nice base setup for Unity using Game CI. Tests are ran and builds are made.

Was able to fix the GitHub dependency issue. Unity tests in playmode and editmode working! Next up, building the project and uploading it to the platforms automatically :)

Funny how one can have 7 game ideas per day but manage to forget everything when finally getting to the keyboard... Maybe this is why we invented "writing things down"? 🫠

Glad to see I can finally run the Game CI action on a @gitea.com instance, unlocking self-hosted CI/CD for @unity3d.bsky.social Unfortunately, the action is still really tied to GitHub, which results as a 404 error and a failed step after all tests have passed.

This place seems nice, and lots of gamedev are already here :) Thanks @passivestar.bsky.social for bringing me here. I'll try to post about DevOps in game development if anyone is interested :)
