Thanks all for sharing your gardens with us once again on #GardensHour It seems many of us need some cheering up soon to counteract poor gardening weather - I’ll have a think on a fun theme for next week! Plus it’s Q&A week too. See you next Monday!

Eeek power cut just as #GardensHour is about to end! Sorry I’ve missed the last few posts, was distracted dealing with my children!

Fresh out the oven, a batch of eggshells, ready to be crushed for garden use. 🌱 #GardensHour

Only ten minutes left! #GardensHour

Zingy pink cyclamen in cold sunshine. #Gardenshour

Another week, another Viola #GardensHour 🌱

#GardensHour #poetry From ‘Spring’ Christina Rossetti Young leaves clothe early hedgerow trees; Seeds, and roots, and stones of fruits, Swollen with sap put forth their shoots; Curled-headed ferns sprout in the lane; Birds sing and pair again. www.fhs-sw1.org.uk/news/fhs-poe...

Just stopped roadside to lust after beautiful trees that are in bloom. Lens tells me it is a plum tree. The single flower is growing alone out of the side of the tree as is the cluster in the first picture. No branch, just a cluster or single flower. The tree is a riot of color. #gardenshour #garden

Still some hips on the Rosa rugosa rubra. Most have been eaten by the birds. I love the beautiful texture & the spiky stems. 🌱 #GardensHour

Lots of buds on the apple trees & blackcurrants already. 🌱 #GardensHour

I shouldn't grumble really, things are starting to go, like this iris reticulata springing up out front. #GardensHour #BlueskyMonday 🌱

My little cacti, grown from seed, are doing well 🌱 #GardensHour

From a very cold and grey garden week, cheering yellow winter jasmine, which has been in flower since October 🌱 #GardensHour

Boosting my magnum opus. #GardensHour

Hurrah, the cucumbers are peeking through. On a heat mat for now but once established will be sheltered under cloches in the greenhouse until big enough to pot on. 🌱 #GardensHour

#GardensHour After the success of mum's paperwhites, we're working on forcing hyacinths. Did a bit of experimenting with chilling. Only one container, set out in early January, is now blooming:
