Taking a long break from it all.

Most guitarists collect boutique pedals for the hype. Cheap or expensive, I stick to what I think sounds great.

Tattoo this on my forehead! Always double-check your effects pedals' settings! Those knobs always move around - even in a hard case. I thought my delay was set the other day, but it was an embarrassing mess when I kicked it on. Does anyone have a nice, tidy way to keep track of core settings?

I love effects pedals, but sometimes, I get super inspired by watching a band perform with nothing but their instruments. ❀️ There's something to learn from everyone.

I have to admit the Chase Bliss mystery box tempted me. Who got one?

My Travel Checklist: βœ… Guitar pedals. βœ… Alpen. βœ… Cheese triangles (I ate them).

So, it turns out... David Gilmour records his demo guitar parts using a 30-year-old Zoom multi-effects rack unit. It makes me realize there must be no more excuses. Let's get making those demos!

Guitarists: Here's a mistake I made for years. You don't have to put every time-based pedal in your effects loop. It doesn't always sound better. Sure, it's the regular advice for delays and reverbs. But they often sound awesome upfront! Trust your ears, not what everyone tells you to do.

I've been a David Gilmour fan since I first picked up a guitar. But this song... ❀️

Good morning to everyone who said their pedalboard was β€œdone" and are now eyeing up new pedals. How long did that last?
