On #TransDayofVisibility, we celebrate transgender and non-binary individuals across Canada. In the face of rising transphobia, we stand united and committed to protecting, uplifting, and amplifying the rights and voices of trans and non-binary people. Now, and always! #cdnpoli

This is absolutely mind blowing. onemileatatime.com/news/airline...

Danielle Smith told U.S. officials to "put things on pause" until after Canada’s federal election — Interfering with foreign policy to sway an election crosses a serious line. Calling for a pause on tariffs to politically benefit one party isn't the right approach. But standing firm for Canada is.

I'm proud to say I'm enjoying the advocacy double feature today! Fighting for proportional representation with @fairvote.ca in the afternoon Pushing our policy makers to welcome healthy growth and building homes with @moreneighboursto.bsky.social's social in the evening bsky.app/profile/more...

“The MTA as a whole is averaging 448K more public transit riders per day this year…The MTA ridership growth since congestion pricing went into effect is almost 50% larger than the total ridership of America’s next-largest subway system.” bettercities.substack.com/p/congestion...

We must keep funding the CBC for important egg puns.

what ought to be some red-alert numbers here for Ontario (and Toronto) www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/media-newsro...

Hot take: Tim Walz' folksy demeanour and relatability are key ingredients to winning today's politics He's basically Minnesota's Doug Ford, but kind and smart. Kinda shows why Ford has captured ON's shallow-thinking majority Here he is filling a town hall in a R district: apnews.com/article/iowa...

"It turns out that no amount of bureaucracy, bickering or political division can slow Canada down when under threat. So what are Ontario’s municipal governments doing to assist in the economic war effort? Sadly, not much — especially when it comes to housing." www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...

"The monthly cost of social housing is $613. This is starkly lower than $2,100 for a shelter bed, $4,300 for a correctional facility bed, or $13,500 for a hospital bed. Housing people is not only a moral imperative but also an economically sound decision."

Na na na na hey hey hey bye bye. #elbowsup #strongasfuck

If Justin Trudeau and the Liberal party hadn't abandoned their electoral reform promise, we can guarantee that would be #1 on this list. What an amazing legacy that would have been. #cdnpoli

As a proud Canadian-owned and operated company, we want to do our part to support Canadians. As a family we have decided to absorb all immediate increases in our costs due to the Trump-tariffs for the rest of the year to maintain our prices. We will continue to reinforce our Canadian-first policies.

What’s more chilling than Trump’s presidency? The fact that we use the same system that just handed him total control. First-past-the-post fuels a hyper-partisan two-party system. If we want to protect democracy in Canada, we need proportional representation. #cdnpoli

From Fair Vote Canada in the Toronto Star: "The consequences of an unfair and disproportional voting system aren’t a political game ― they matter to the lives of citizens in Ontario." www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...

So frustrating to see Ontario Conservatives winning so many ridings with under 1% margins. I don't think anyone should donate to the Ontario Greens, NDP or Liberals until they agree to cooperate to get electoral reform passed. What's the point of giving them our money if they don't aim to win?

This one sparks joy. Every seat matters. Let's force the parties to act like it and work together next time.

Another ridiculous first-past-the-post outcome Party that did not win the popular vote will have far more seats than proportional its vote share, and it will form a MAJORITY government FPTP will usher in far-right governments unless parties cooperate to make pro-rep a reality @fairvote.ca #onpoli
