Feel good story about a young man working hard, doing good, and exceeding expectations. #GonzagaHail #HUBisons www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/...

TFW you order the right size pizza

Edgewood Trader Joe’s starting to take shape. I’ll start the bidding on opening day at April 1

Not a frequent Caps-goer, so good to see familiar faces

What’s the policy rationale for requiring @dcpubliclibrary.bsky.social renewals every 3 years? Seems sort of customer unfriendly. Is there a big issue with people obtaining and keeping library cards after they leave the city?

Seeing Big Freedia at the Kennedy Center in 2013 as part of the New Orleans Bingo Show was in fact the peak of my coolness. We got free Abita for some reason? Show was incredible. A few patrons walked out when the twerking started. Art at its finest. youtu.be/NzpnjK2IZS4?...

New route from the MBT to Arboretum via the Mt Olivet PBL. Good to get outside after a long day/week/decade. Thanks WABA for the route ridewithgps.com/routes/49627...

Great news! Looks like the zebras are coming back to Penn Ave NW west of 12th St NE #bikedc

Proud to be a new Washington Spirit season ticket holder (126, row 19). Will be out of town for the home opener March 22 if anyone wants first dibs on 2 or 4 seats. (TIL: They don’t let you exchange the opener tickets to later games).

Priorities on display

Every 18 minutes but the vibes are 💯

Escape from New Orleans complete. 96 hour snow delay but not the worst week to miss of DC life.

Looking for more on the DCPL Edgewood-Eckington library coming to the Rhode Island Ave metro? @nsementelli.bsky.social has analysis up on @ggwash.org ggwash.org/view/98176/d...

Site selection report for Edgewood / Eckington library showing the finalists and the process is here: drive.google.com/file/d/1cJBC...

New Orleans snow scenes @capitalweather.bsky.social

Going to New Orleans to get warm for the weekend was a great idea. Lot of once in a lifetime events of late. This one is pretty at least.

A thing I did not anticipate about New Orleans is the number of fighter jets flying through the city on a daily basis www.nola.com/news/yes-mil...

But the parade reviewing stand 😭 www.axios.com/local/washin...

Attention fans of libraries: DCPL has shortlisted 600 and 605 Rhode Island Ave NE as the finalists for the Edgewood-Eckington Library. ETA: 2030. Great chance to improve the built environment around a metro stop in our neighborhood while providing much needed public service. 📚🚇🚲🦼🏢

Relatable career progression tbh

Frances Tiafoe puked on the court but still fighting on.

Necessity the mother of invention. Impossible to e-cargo bike so metro + run everywhere now. Locked the stroller at the metro bike racks and everything.

People seem to like beer who knew

🙄

Fixed the attendance problem #hoyasaxa

“The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free Hoyas hat courtesy of Invesco QQQ!” 1 hat for every 20 ticketholders 🤷‍♂️

Trying to catch a glimpse of the new pandas

Always a new Capitol view

Three days post storm, outside a rail station that serves 13 million people a year (and at a connected streetcar stop). Speed camera in place, roads cleared, sidewalks impassible to anyone with wheels, a chair, stroller, or mobility issues.

High school classmate bought the Staten Island ferry, maybe I make the alumni magazine with a DC Circulator 🤔 www.govdeals.com/asset/27459/...

Plenty of room on the Hoyas bandwagon #skyhoops

Should we port our every-time-it-snows twitter conversation about who is responsible for clearing the Rhode Island Ave metro walkway to the MBT? Unsurprisingly, the walkway was entirely unshoveled today. @wmatagm.bsky.social @wmata.com I think it’s actually DDOT but it does affect WMATA passengers

Finally someone who did the reading.

Next time someone brings up an evil corporate developer ruining the neighborhood, remind them developers 100% shovel their sidewalks (pre-existing contracts / to avoid liability) whereas beloved local neighbors are more like 70%, even 2 blocks from the metro.

Thanks to HSC and Children’s for still running shuttles today. No thanks to all the folks who didn’t shovel their sidewalks. People with mobility limitations or who need wheels especially need clear paths. I guess as a sidenote, HSC is now RSC. www.childrensnational.org/get-care/dep...

So much more economically productive to have workers at their desks looking at their phones than in their cars looking at their phones
