Finally had enough and deleted my personal Twitter account last night. I feel a sense of release. The antics of people on there were affecting my mental health. Can't have that.

One day more...

Dispatch from the Picketline Night... um... I've lost count... 17 for me? Maybe? It's cold. So fucking cold. I hate this. I want to be working. Come on, Canada Post... negotiate. On the plus side, I'm wearing so many layers that I'm doing the best upper body workout of my life. Silver linings.

Dispatch from the Picketline Night 10 The snow comes down steadily, but our resolve remains. We're told this is "the home stretch"... God, I wish it to be true.

Dispatch from the Picketline Saturday Rally There's a rally today. Nothing as inspiring as hearing such support from government and union leadership.

Dispatch from the Picketline Night 8 It's colder than your ex out here. Canada Post has been spreading lies about Union positions in the media, focusing attention there instead of good faith negotiations. Perhaps they should get visited by three ghosts in the night.

Dispatch from the Picketline Night 6 The strike has worn on, but the commitment wavers not. The corporation needs to negotiate though... they talk big, but don't live up to their words. Negotiate, don't legislate.

Supposed to be cold as eff tonight. Got my layers ready... fighting for our rights was never going to be comfortable.

Broke my vow and read some comments RE: the postal strike. Pleasantly surprised to see some people actually understand why we're out and show support and solidarity. As I prepare for a cold night, thoughts like this warm my heart.

Dispatch from the Picketline Night 3: As the strike enters its 6th day, there is a glimmer of hope that a negotiated settlement is possible. Support remains steady, and I'm getting better at not reading the comments on any platform.

So we'll march day and night By the big cooling tower They have the plant But we have the power.

Dispatch from the Picketline Night 2: More honks in support while the corporation tries more underhanded tactics to break our spirits. They should use that energy to negotiate in good faith instead.

Picketing again tonight. Apparently, we have big speakers now. If there's karaoke, I may never leave. Time to brush up on Rage.

Dispatch from the Picketline: It's cold, but spirits are... maybe not "high," but mid-level. We hope for a contract soon, but are prepared to stand our ground. Safe working conditions, fair compensation. Come on, Canada Post. Negotiate in good faith.

Tonight, I do something neither of my brothers, nor my father, have ever done... Walk the picket line. Tell Canada Post to negotiate in good faith.

So what would you put on your strike playlist? So far I have selections from Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, and Les Miserables.

We gave 72 hours today. Looks like the strike is on.

Canada Post employees are not the cause of the corporation's financial woes.

The purpose of Canada Post is not and can not be about profit. It's a service, one that ties all of Canada together - one that goes where for-profit couriers won't. The corporation needs to acknowledge that and ensure its workers are fit and motivated.

ANOTHER THING I HUGELY ADVOCATE.

This was a rough day - the day I went into work after having to put my almost 17yo cat down. As much as dogs and cats are our family, we have no corporate grace to grieve them. Feels wrong.

I think it's time I start using this instead of Twitter. Feels healthier.

I'd support pet bereavement.

Someone wake me up when Shohei Ohtani is a Blue Jay.

Well shit.. how y'all doing?

Oooooh. I can invite people here now. To foster community or ferment chaos...

Why has no one put sriracha in those little single-serve packets? It's cumbersome carrying my full-size bottle everywhere.

Did you know? A song released today in the fashion of Summer of '69 would be about 2008.

Hi, Bluesky. I'm Garrett (people call me G, but that wasn't an acceptable username). Please don't confuse me with the popcorn company sharing my name.

Oh look, I made it!
