My actual news is that I finally played Split Fiction, just the first few hours, and while it's fun, it is causing so much psychic damage via writing. It is full of baby ideas of how the creative process works. It kills. Basically this comic

Wait wait, I also have news! I, um, passed a city inspection for my air conditioner unit today.

They should make that pope that just died the new secretary of defense. I dunno.

I can't look at this painting without breaking into a cold sweat for fear that the princess is about to get dragged away by shadow creatures again

Companion: certified fun ass movie

You know Mr. Do! from arcades? I'm going to kill Mr. Do! This? I do not suffer it

My old stuff was so good

I'm not really embarrassed by liking music, but: Somewhere along the way, youtube served me the main theme of Ant Man 3, which is a 7/4 bop that goes weirdly hard, and I love it, and listen to it a lot. BUT now youtube is saying stuff like "Would you like to hear the love theme from Ant Man 2?" No.

Nothing but truth in this thread.

Easter is a weird holiday. It's very religious but then we have kids do a bunch of pagan stuff to distract them.

This, actually .

having close friends and family in the LGBTQ community means picking up a lot of queer cultural touchstones through osmosis but also understanding that every once in a while you’re going to hear about something called “blunching” and know instantly that it’s none of your business

Mr President is such a funny phrase. It's like saying Doctor Mailman

The Resident Evil 6 episodes will be good ones, I think. Half of it is worse than Resident Evil 0, but maybe 1/4 is pretty good? It never reaches the heights of, um, resident evil 5, but it's a rare game that's sort of bad but also underrated

they should invent a washer that mama bird feeds a dryer

Ohhhh, it's called Broad City because they're both bra'd!

shout out to the still undefeated number one in accidentally euphemistic youtube titles

making it clear how normal and deserving of custody i am with my cool truck

Sucks because my answer for this would be The Belgariad but the creators of that franchise did indeed do awful shit. AFAIK, they're not currently crapulent. Backup answers that unfortunately don't scratch the same itch: The Chronicles of Prydain and The Myth series by Robert Asprin.

I sincerely think the only real antidote to bigotry is meeting people different than you and realizing they're just folks, same as everyone. An old onion headline impacted me a lot, something like "Nation no longer homophobic after lovely dinner at Bruce and Steve's house"

holy shit

i hate when i'm entertained by AI

Instead of asking how we can have a left wing Joe Rogan we need to ask how we can radicalize Chef John from Foodwishes
