My latest book review assignment is a high school horror story about mean girls with paranormal powers. Isn’t high school horrifying enough without supernatural mayhem? I remember it being mostly humiliating and painful. Anyway, an okay creepfest if this is your cup of darjeeling. #booksky

Where law ends, tyranny begins.

As I was about to buy a cookie and a coffee at my local coffee shop, the electricity went off. The register went dark as midnight on a moonless night. The clerk said “just take it” and “don’t worry about it” when I offered to come back later. I’m starting to think I may have psychic powers. #random

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

Don't panic

My latest book review assignment was for “The Remarkable Story of Little Sister Lozen”—a bio of a remarkable Apache warrior woman whom Hollywood has so far ignored. The book is not well-written, but the details of her life are fascinating. #booksky #history #nativeamerican

Following the CDC's removal of critical health data and the potential approval of RFK Jr. as Health Secretary, it is crucial to access accurate health information from independent sources such as the WHO, Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins University, and peer-reviewed journals.

Another favorite artist gone. #MarianneFaithfull. This year is turning out to be really something, isn’t it?

How is it still January

January is a crazy month around here. It snows every day—at least a little, sometimes a lot. So I end up shoveling every day, which is good exercise, but if I have to be lifting weight, I’d rather do it in my home #gym, aka my home office. I weather the #weather.

“The president, perhaps inadvertently, wound up smudging the line between empirical verification and his own boundless optimism.”
