My latest book review assignment is a high school horror story about mean girls with paranormal powers. Isn’t high school horrifying enough without supernatural mayhem? I remember it being mostly humiliating and painful. Anyway, an okay creepfest if this is your cup of darjeeling. #booksky

As I was about to buy a cookie and a coffee at my local coffee shop, the electricity went off. The register went dark as midnight on a moonless night. The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

January is a crazy month around here. It snows every day—at least a little, sometimes a lot. So I end up shoveling every day, which is good exercise, but if I have to be lifting weight, I’d rather do it in my home #gym, aka my home office. I weather the #weather.
