We've got a brand-new way to support Fansplaining's writers (including @gavia.bsky.social, who wrote our February piece, out tomorrow!). In an attempt to get off PayPal entirely, we've swapped our one-off donations link to Ko-fi. If you have a few bucks to spare, please help us pay writers! ✨

Andor S2 releasing three episodes per week is SUCH a predictably stupid streaming decision. This show deserves big, deep weekly conversations! It's Disney's equivalent of Severance!

People who don't write newsletters or are new to it might not realize that Substack's monetization model is different from its competitors like Ghost and Beehiiv. Substack takes 10% of your earnings. That's primarily how they make the money they give to right-wing authors. *You* are funding them.

I suspect we’re about to find out whether Kennedy was the one responsible for Disney’s subpar offerings, or whether she was the one running interference to ensure that they weren’t worse. Not at all sure it won’t turn out to have been option B

Every artist I know is really struggling right now. Financially, emotionally, their confidence, in general. If you like an artist's work, support them any way you can. Buying their stuff or subscribing to their Patreon is great, but words of encouragement are also incredibly helpful.

okay morgan and i have just recorded a BIG pre-oscars podcast that covers (almost) the entire lineup of nominees and controversies, and will be up on the Overinvested Patreon page sometime next week: www.patreon.com/c/overinvest...

Morbidly fascinated by Netflix's ZERO DAY, a political thriller that asks: What if a mentally unstable octogenarian centrist is the hero America needs? www.tvguide.com/news/netflix...

with facebook's VR project Horizon Worlds back in the news, i just want to clarify to naysayers as someone who has actually used it: it's EVEN WORSE than you're imagining.

huge day for people who like to read articles and listen to podcasts about how Sidney Crosby's Still Got It.

just realized that not only does this update block me from watching netflix screeners via browser, the 2FA "security" code gets sent to *someone else's email address* because my press account is attached to a family account in someone else's name. incredible!!

steffan entering his TV star era!!!!!!!
