How much more outrage can we tolerate.

No attorney general should ever speak like this. She's Trump's advocate, not the people's lawyer, which is what the AG's job is. Whatever state she is barred in should start disciplinary proceedings immediately. This isn't subtle or arguable, it's wrong.

Probably not a coincidence that Donald Trump is targeting law firms with executive actions, trying to dismantle Democratic Party infrastructure like ActBlue, and then starts arresting judges. Seems—hmm—I don’t know, is there a word for that? I wonder if there was a word for what that would be.

What a topsy-turvy traipse into authoritarianism when judges are afraid to arrest Trump administration people for clear contempt of court but Trump administration people are unafraid to arrest judges for no good reason whatsoever.

🚨🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS: Was just passed this from a fellow service academy grad. A Coast Guard Academy graduate posted this. They are reporting that ICE entered base housing and took a USCG spouse. I can’t confirm this but I’m calling for answers from the Coast Guard and Congress. This is unacceptable.

Very sad. Deepest sympathy to her family

Resistance everywhere is necessary

3) a little east and watch spring migrators, find historic graves, 🦃, coyotes and bliss out on beautiful plantings, now all in pink, ride my bike . Too bad the country is being so f**d up.

2) if I head north or nw I can have a park picnic, stock up on hardware, practice yoga, induge on sushi, ice cream, vegan pastries, samosas, Reubens, more pizza, shop at international grocery store,

Acknowledging my privilege. Within 15 minute walk south I can have my clothes cleaned or tailored, sip a yummy London Fog or buy a great baguette, stop at a drug store, check out a library book, get vegan ice cream, buy clothes or tchotchkes, eat pizza, pasta, burgers, ramen, gyoza, oysters 1)

Me too @meghankallman.bsky.social

The long-term damage Trump is doing that doesn’t get enough emphasis is: He has very rapidly convinced the world that it can no longer AFFORD for the U.S. to be the “indispensable nation,” and other countries are in the process of restructuring their affairs accordingly. www.ft.com/content/c2eb...

The Providence bookstore/bar Riffraff -- where I had my book launch in April 2024 -- has a special cocktail for Indie Bookstore Day called the "Fuck Jeff Bezos 2.0." I love this town, and I love indie bookstores.

Kinda insane and shows how afraid the networks are of upsetting this administration that a guy who killed 7 people and wounded 48 with “47” literally tattooed on his face has all but been forgotten like there’s still not a very serious threat emanating from every pore of this pathetic cult

Israeli forces have now dropped more explosives in Gaza than fell on London, Dresden, and Hamburg during the Second World War. The region’s hospitals have not been spared; most are no longer functional. Clayton Dalton writes about the devastation.

This is insane and everyone involved needs to be sued into oblivion and then go directly to jail

Every IT Department has, when cleaning up user accounts, disabled users they weren’t 100% sure on and said “if they still need access, they’ll call. You can’t do that with social security because if you get rid of someone’s benefits incorrectly, there’s a good chance you will actually kill them.

One more reason to boycott Starbucks

🤣

So, that new give Putin all he wants "peace" plan Rubio floated this week? It appears to be illegal under a 2022 American law Rubio himself helped pass. www.politico.com/newsletters/...

Holy crap. Here are 91 pages of letters that 14 House Democrats just sent to the nine law firms that have paid off Trump to not attack them. Lots of Qs aimed at sorting out if they violated federal bribery/anti-fraud/racketeering laws. min.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

TODAYS… IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW………

Russia bombarded Kyiv early today, just hours after Donald Trump criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy for dismissing a proposed peace deal that would recognize Moscow’s control over Crimea.

Trump has I think rightly calculated that no amount of fascist atrocities will drive the media to call them fascist atrocities

Democrats were very successful in making project 25 toxic. unfortunately, republicans just lied and said, "oh we aren't going to do that," and the media treated that pretty credulously, and here we are.

disparate impact might be the closest legal acknowledgement of structural racism we have. so, of course they're going to attack it because denying structural racism is at the core of colorblindness, white innocence, victimhood, and nostalgia, racism, resegregation, and whitewashing history

Pledging to defend the Constitution right before the country you were about to become a citizen of unconstitutionally detains you

One of the wilder political things in recent history is that Project 2025 publicly released a 900 page document laying out their plans to roll back 100 years of human progress and then during the campaign Republicans just said "no we're not :)" and then they won and now they're doing it all.

"Attorney General shall initiate appropriate action to repeal or amend the implementing regulations for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for all agencies" What's Title VI? "prohibits discrimination against or otherwise excluding individuals on the basis of race, color, or national origin"

“Serena Longley, Barnard’s general counsel, acknowledged in an email to the faculty members that Barnard had provided the [Trump EEOC] with the personal contact information of staff members”

THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT IS THE LAW OF THE LAND AND A SUPERSTATUTE AND THE PRESIDENT CANNOT UNDO IT. sincerely, a constitutional law professor who also teaches employment discrimination

Stupid stupid stupid

This isn't going to boost birthrates. Women don't want a lot of children when they have the choice.

In 1913 we did not Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, the EITC, SNAP or much else of a social safety net. Life expectancy was about 52 years. If this is the era they want to go back to, lets hear about all of it.

"So who voted for this? I personally don't remember Donald Trump's campaign promise to cut breast cancer research and to make menopause harder for American women,” says Chris Hayes on the Trump admin gutting the first and largest women’s health study.

Ah yes, the government asking Jews to register as Jewish, in the name of protecting the Jews. No way that could go wrong www.nytimes.com/2025/04/23/n...

As Trump’s poll numbers continue to crumble, he’s only going to get more dangerous. He’ll keep attacking our democracy, going after his political enemies, and targeting the courts. This is going to get worse before it gets better—but right now, we’re winning this fight, and he’s panicking.

More ineptness or is it by design at this point, because NO ONE is this stupid... they would have to try to be this idiotic.

The Trump regime isn’t just sucking up to the anti-science crowd with its foggy messaging on vaccines. It’s promoting measles, which can be fatal, especially to children under age 5. I can’t say it any more plainly than this: Republicans are killing children.

Al gore is pissed off and I’m here for it

I still don't understand why Hasbro would want space downtown when they already gave up space downtown

Dramatic reporting from Haaretz Yaniv Kubovich confirms: killing of the paramedics was a cold blooded massacre. -Israel had allowed unrestricted movement of civilians on route -Forces were aware of ambulance traffic -Troops shot from close range, as paramedics yelled that they are first responders

Like the experts have said, AI makes things up.

Men in plainclothes, one in a balaclava, raided the Charlottesville courthouse today. They abducted a local painter whose case (allegedly fighting with his roommate) was being dismissed, and another who was there paying fines. They took them away in unmarked vans. dailyprogress.com/news/local/c...
