got the Patriot out of the shop and it was a wiring issue. been struggling with a UTI since Friday and it's not clearing up. swapped antibiotics and getting a CT to check my kidneys to be sure they're okay. it's absolutely insane the problems i have at work to try and get time off for this.

got two dead vehicles now. alternator is out in both which sucks and leaves me a car without AC that gets great gas mileage or the beast (as i call the Yukon) with AC and crappy gas mileage but decent AC. lights on the Yukon don't work much either so that one's out. sigh.

Had to take a break in that I had to redo the fingerprinting for the center but that should come back clean within the next week as I cleared the background check already. It is close to Christmas and I can't believe it. Life has been crazy the last few weeks but I'm happy overall. Pic of Wally.

job at naval base got pulled because of a problem but i got on at another childcare center and i'm thinking that this one might go through. filled out the paperwork and did the background form too. different from the one the Navy uses so that might work. pays more than the buffet job so i'm happy.

Fingerprinting is set for this coming Thursday morning and I am glad to get that set finally. One step closer to gaining a start date at the naval base rather than staying at the casino. That job was fun but it's hard work and my back can't handle it anymore so it's time and must move on.

This job was the only one that I could get at the time a month ago and I'm exhausted as it is. I do have 4 days off after tomorrow so that's a relief. Being a hostess isn't easy and I'm hoping I will never have to do this job again anytime soon. It is never fun and our place stays way too busy.

Tired as hell and I worked from 11a to 8p and got off so I could go back tomorrow on the same shift. Not feeling it and not that hungry at the moment even though hubs offered something for me when I got in. We live an hour from where I'm working and it's a hell of a damn drive. Did not want to get up to take my kid to the bus this morning cause they had an issue yesterday when she came home from school. She's old enough to go to the stop on her own and all. I just let her go on her own and I stayed behind. I'll walk back after the bus gets her. Not worth it this morning.

all paperwork for the Navy CCD job went in on time so just waiting on the background check to clear and for me to get word to go on base (or close) to do the fingerprinting. i am still shocked on this but i'll take it. i'll stay with the casino till it comes through to be sure it does.

work this coming week is going to be nuts as i work 2p to 9.30p on Wed and Thurs and Fri from 11a to 7p. Sat is 2 to 10.30p and Sun is 12p to 8p. that's not counting my appts on Wed morning: one at 7.30a and one at 9.30a and then the podiatry at 2.30p on Friday during that shift. ay yi yi.
