#FindsFriday The Scar whale bone plaque. Discovered in a rare #Viking boat burial on the island of Sanday #Orkney. Discovered in 1985, it dates to between 875-950AD, and is on display at the Orkney Museum, Kirkwall. It is a thing of beauty. Image credit: Orkney museums as my pics are pants!
