Charity shop media is now 10 items for £1 instead of 6, so have to get a couple extra bits of chaff along with the wheat. #PhysicalMedia

Thank you to everybody who took part in our latest campaign for @samaritans.bsky.social - whether it be participating on stream, donating, joining in chat or sharing far and wide. Due to unforeseen circumstances, it took a little longer than expected to end, but it was certainly worth it!

Watched The Dead Don't Die (2019). Too many things to say so linking to #letterboxd #movies #film boxd.it/a25lsj

Watch and win with my exclusive #unboxing of @rayharryhausen.bsky.social Griffin from the classic film The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973)by @StarAceToysLtd @XPLUSCollection #harryhausenunboxing #RayHarryhausen youtu.be/UqEuYYq4oRI?...

The martial arts scenes in It’s A Wonderful Life were a key influence on The Matrix

Watched A Ghost Story (2017). The first half really struggled to hold my attention, but when I realised it wasn't going anywhere predictable, I started to enjoy it, and I admit that the final scene even sent a shiver down my spine. Inventive and poignant exploration of life and loss. #Movies #Film

'I don’t overshare because I like to talk about myself, I overshare because I feel like I’m more tolerable with context'

Made ex-England footballer Neil 'Razor' Ruddock laugh when I tried to sell his wife a World Cup Lion mascot..

You’ll be too young to remember, but there was a time when you could wake up as many as three mornings in a row and not find the world had lost its fucking mind.

I told you we’d be back

Rewatched The Room (2003). A film so bad they made a film about it. Nothing I can say about it that hasn't already been analysed and documented hundreds of times. Has to be experienced to be believed. #movies #film

You'd think the middle of a river next to a busy footpath would be a risky place to lay eggs, but one side is inaccessible & the other is so overgrown most going past don't notice. Even I at 6'2 have to hold my camera high to get a photo.

This is Max. He snuck out in the middle of the night and walked 5 miles to get a breakfast burrito from a store that gave him one once. They hadn't opened yet when he got there, but Max was found the next morning thanks to his GPS collar patiently waiting outside for his well-earned snack. 14/10

I can't stop thinking of all the things this would have fixed or explained. The snow. The way Sutekh's destruction of the universe was undone. 73 yards. Maestro's line in Devil's Chord. Everything about the way Ruby's abandonment at the church was shot and presented. The memory TARDIS.

I don't usually share these kind of videos, but if true the original ending of the last series of Doctor Who would have been closer to what I expected - As divisive as it would have been, it makes more sense than what we got. #DoctorWho www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy6L...

Watched The Listeners (2024). A BBC mini series about a mysterious noise only some can hear. I haven't read the book it's based on, though the same author did the adaptation. Rebecca Hall is amazing as always, but the show itself wasnt clear enough as to what it was to keep me invested. #TV

I have finally joined Letterboxd. Not sure whether to just use it to log the films I've watched, post reviews or a bit of both. I've written one for Joker: Folie à Deux, to judge reaction & my feelings & I welcome feedback over whether to stick with the old way, this way or both. boxd.it/9VyvnN

Fa-fa-fa-fa, fa-fa-fa-fa-fa, far better.

I see Musk has gone for his usual 'they're a paedo' attack. For once though it's actually true. Allegedly.

Rewatched Fantastic Voyage (1966). After picking up Innerspace on DVD I decided to revisit the film that inspired it & the only other in this specific genre to my knowledge. Amazing effects for the time, a good soundtrack & good roles for Donald Pleasence & Raquel Welch. #film #movies

ALIEN: EARTH Full Trailer www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zbsi... Very interesting... certainly looks like it fits in right between PROMETHEUS and ALIEN.

One of the reasons why I love Ray Harryhausen's stop motion work so much is that it not only feels alive, but a very specific kind of alive. Many of his monsters have such unruly energy, as if they threaten to nip at the hands of the man arranging them.

Watched Toy Story 4 (2019). Has the usual feel good & heart pulling moments we're used to of the franchise, but any sequel beyond 3 really is unnecessary as anything other than a money grab as that was the perfect ending. #film #movies

Rewatched Innerspace (1987). First saw it in the cinema. A comedy take on Fantastic Voyage by one of the great directors of unusual films, Joe Dante. #film #movies
