Had a wonderful time visiting London on Wednesday with my daughter. First stop was the British Library to see Medieval Women and Silk Road exhibitions. Then to see Van Gogh's work & followed by a visit to Gagosian Gallery to see Japanese Art à la Takashi Murakami. A day full of art.

First cake I've made in many months. A simple chocolate cake which our son is very happy with.

Had a wonderful evening Wassailing at the Lickey Hills orchard with family and friends! 🍎🍻

What a great final frame of the Wilson v Brecel match. #TheMasters #Snooker

A huge well done! I've enjoyed following dots of all the races. #SpineRace

The Arctic conditions have obviously made it tough going for our runners, but it’s a photographer’s playground up on the Pennine Way. As the team thaw out their boots and de-ice their cameras, here’s a selection of photos captured throughout day 1 of the Montane Winter Spine Races 2025. #spinerace

I love to follow the dots on the live tracker map. I love walking but what the participants do must push them to their physical and mental limits. The beautiful scenery must be worth it though! Good luck to all the participants. #SpineRace #WinterSpine

Looking forward to attending this year's Wassail! Always a fun night. Wassail! Drink hail! 🍻🍎🍻

While trying to spot the Northern Lights I caught a shooting star what a good end to a birthday 🌠

It was a busy New Years Day when I was born at the local hospital. My mom was one of the proud mothers who had our picture taken as part of the newspaper article.

Today has been a good birthday. I've received some wonderful new books and made time to sit and read a book. The first read for 2025 is A Tomb With a View.

Highly recommend @peteralanross.bsky.social book. I read Steeple Chasing in the summer, now my husband is reading it today. We both have pledged to read more but also visit some of these sites. I have received a Tomb With a View for my birthday today and it's another great read.

Eighteen years since we married in Castle Campbell in Dollar, Clackmannanshire.

The best part of Christmas Eve is following @rhodri.biz thread for #duvettheyknowitschristmas it's all for a good cause also. Please donate if you can.

So glad that #duvetknowitschristmas is here and raises money for a good cause also!

I worked on BBC Horrible Histories, and wrote some of the Stupid Deaths sketches Without doubt, my faves were Ancient Greek intellectuals: e.g, Empedocles who jumped in an active volcano trying to become a god… Or Philitas of Kos who starved due to obsessively needing to correct grammar errors👇

When the foreman is checking you are doing a good job hoovering the stairs.

Yes, people will post pictures on social media of sleeping arrangements on Xmas Eve and I will once again attempt to leverage this to raise money for charity — just pinning this to my profile to head off the relentless (i.e. sporadic) enquiries

Love how Santa comes to visit the estate every year! 🎅

Feeling festive after watching our children play cornet as part of the local community brass band this afternoon! 🎺🦌🎄

Enjoying an evening cuddle with Horatio the beagle.

Great walk with my husband this morning. We walked 10 miles and saw a buzzard and a pair of Jays.

The kind of Saturday I like is when I go to the hairdressers. 🧡

The health promotion board is ready for Monday's Disability History Awareness event. I will also be offering influenza vaccines for our employees.

Here's your #DailyDistraction from the world! The graves of a Catholic woman and her Protestant husband, who were not allowed to be buried together due to cemetery regulations. They died in the 1880s. Note: the hands clasping over the dividing wall. Located in Roermond, the Netherlands.

The Beetlejuice grave and Christmas tree are both looking very festive after a fresh dusting of snow this evening.

More snow was not predicted for this morning's dog walk.

This morning I had a cold walk to work.

New to Blue Sky after being on Twitter for years. I enjoy walking and all things historical. I also have a wonderful beagle named Horatio.
