One of the most radical early Quaker beliefs was the idea of gender equality. Margaret Fell, the "Mother of Quakerism," was vocal in her support of equality, encouraging women to embrace their voice and speak up in meetings and beyond. A true Quaker *and* Women's History Month icon 🙌

Have you ever been to a silent protest? I highly recommend it if you haven't and you probably haven't. It is incredibly powerful. I'm a Quaker, so I'm obviously biased but I think you'll find the strangeness of a silent protest is really impactful.

At Quaker meeting today, we talked about the triumphal stories we tell ourselves vs the reality. Many Quakers flagellate themselves over previous generations’s failures to speak out to what today is clear injustice.
