The flotilla of shaheds in Kyiv and the ballistic missiles elsewhere are really demonstrating Russia’s willingness for peace

When Daniel Bessner, who rotted for Jacobin, says that “countries and regions should be allowed to work out what type of intl. ordering arrangement they desire,” he plainly does not mean “Ukraine gets to decide if it joins NATO and the EU.” He means that Russia gets to kill Ukrainians if it wants.

So let's get this straight: The U.S. and Elon are now extorting Ukraine and threatening to turn off their Starlink Internet access unless they give their critical rare earth minerals to the United States? Staggering levels of corruption.

A "peace deal" might sound good. Stability, no more war... But what if that deal is just a trap? What if forcing Ukraine into a ceasefire on bad terms doesn’t stop the war, but guarantees an even worse one? My article for @tochnyi.info explores some of the reasons why: tochnyi.info/2025/02/a-fo...

I repeat: Article Five is not worth much under these people. Act accordingly. “Vance on Thursday night suggested that the Trump admin could reconsider its military presence in Germany, tying continued…defense commitments to Berlin’s stance on free speech” www.politico.eu/article/vanc...

I think people are missing the reality of the growing US-Russian alliance under Putin and Trump. Its not going to force a ceasefire on Ukraine, it will be to help Russia try to win the war. The US is now an active enemy of freedom.

Was interviewed for Detroit’s WDIV. Talked about why Americans, who venerate their own constitution, should respect Ukraine’s as well, esp. since Ukrainians have been fighting and dying to defend it. Talked about the hollowness of peace negotiations without Ukraine /1

Shahed just flew over the house. Saw it right out the window. No air defense this time, which is… a little unsettling. It’s wild to realize that some guys somewhere - who have names and favorite songs and kinks and favorite foods - launched these things to kill regular people they’ll never meet.

Gang I’ll be interviewed for WDIV in Detroit sometime tomorrow about Ukraine. Not sure if it’ll be broadcast live or what but I’ll try to keep you posted.

The abuse of Ukrainian POWs has been consistent grotesque and instigated from the very top of the Russian hierarchy down to individual soldiers.

I gotta say it's incredibly paternalistic to look down on the people who struggled immensely for the same rights and freedoms we enjoy for not dreaming bigger in the face of violence we've never experienced ourselves

❗️The US has stopped selling weapons to Ukraine, – the head of the Rada defense committee Roman Kostenko. "According to my information, the weapons that were going to be sold have stopped being supplied.

Russian Wagner mercenaries and Mali's army opened fire at vehicles carrying civilians in northern Mali killing 20 people. The Russians haven’t stopped slaughtering in Africa, just as they haven’t stopped in Ukraine. www.voanews.com/amp/sources-...

Trump is both profoundly evil and profoundly stupid which is why the more difficult actions end up having him not have the attention span to do them

These stories are not discussed as widely in the Western press as they ought to be, so it's good to see The Telegraph giving this some attention. www.telegraph.co.uk/global-healt...

Damn, air defense just got real lively

“I held the Russian negotiator’s ass, gently, in this configuration, and then deeply smootched it.”

russian occupation is not peace, it is a death camp. #Izium

nazis don't stop being nazis because they have majority in the polls

Time has been moved to 2:15, by the way

Short notice but I’ll be on WJR in Detroit at 235pm Eastern time, speaking from Kyiv about the Trump Administration’s “peace negotiations.”

Hi All, I've taken another post out of paywall that I wrote a while ago--as I think it’s extremely relevant now. Its arguing that the US leaving NATO could help regenerate Europe. Its a high-risk event. But Europe has been revealed as declining and decrepit. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

The snow is falling. Everything is peaceful outside, and silent. Except for the anti-aircraft guns outside shooting down kamikaze drones.

Hey fair is fair.

This is Trump's politcal super power

Scoop: The databases powering DOGE.gov are insecure, and people outside the government have already pushed their own updates to the site to prove it: www.404media.co/anyone-can-p...

"In Musk’s case, he also made a similarly ritualized visit to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu who, of course, has a long history of giving kosher passes to far-right antisemites in exchange for their support for the most right-wing elements within the Israeli government."

Jack Posobiec, the Pizzagate lunatic who retweets Dugin and denies the Bucha massacre, is in Kyiv (looking really nervous) as part of an official delegation. Any moment now he'll write "I've been to Ukraine. I've seen what the war is like with my own eyes. We need peace" from his posh suite.

Rally for #Ukraine in #Munich. #NAFO

Vytenis Andriukaitis MEP, the grandfather of Lithuanian social democracy, in a hard to read rant on FB: "This is a free choice between Yalta and Helsinki. I choose Helsinki. I grew up with that spirit in my dissident work, in the struggle for liberty, in the work to prepare the Independence Act."

There is only one plausible outcome for the war in Ukraine and it is the total defeat of the Russian Federation, its unconditional withdrawal to Ukraine's de jure border, and reparations. That's what must happen. That's what will happen.

The Russian strike on Chernobyl ought to be a wake up call to people who don’t think that this is their war too. Sadly, I expect their response will be “this is why we have to appear Russia to stop the fighting.”
