She makes Ron Ziegler look like a genius. Sorry - for those not of my generation, Ronald Ziegler was Richard Nixon's thoroughly beleaguered Press Secretary and mouthpiece.

“.. In at least a dozen videos filmed in her OPM office, political appointee McLaurine Pinover modeled her outfit choices for the day, while directing followers from her Instagram account to a website that could earn her commissions on clothing sales.” @cnn.com #DOGE www.cnn.com/2025/03/11/p...

Something every American should know. Repugnant behavior by an autocrat who is being actively abetted by the United States under the direction of an odious orange oligarch.

They were nominated because they were spineless cowards.

South African car salesman tells U.S. Senator, American astronaut and U.S. Navy captain: "You are a traitor"

Note the first sentence. Russia's idea of peace is Ukrainian surrender. Russia rejects a ceasefire every single day. Do NOT fall for the gaslighting coming from the Trump admin that Zelensky and Ukraine reject peace and compromise. Russia rejects peace and compromise. For over a decade already.

Make no mistake - victory, not peace, is Russia's long-term, middle-term, and short-term goal. Extinguishing every last shred of Ukrainian sovereignty is the overall objective.

Pithily, but elegantly, stated.

“In just six weeks, the Trump administration overturned NIH’s leadership, slowed its main mission of identifying the best new science to fund and silenced personnel at the biggest sponsor of biomedical research in the world…” www.washingtonpost.com/science/2025...

Whatever minuscule "advantage" might be gained with additional US personnel in Russia is overwhelmed by the infiltration the Russians will pursue. Apparently, we'll fire all USAID workers but send folks to Russia so Putin can send more spies. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/09/u...

Politicians are allowed to take credit for intelligence success but they shouldn’t pretend that such success is not dependent on years of work and relationships built up over many Administrations. Trump cuts will jeopardize future success.

Our own Rick Wilson hits the nail on the head: Trump is not “making deals” or “playing chess”, he’s just an idiot. Watch the LP Podcast to hear more: bit.ly/4kw7vvV

No way this happens without the sharing of critical intelligence - a real world necessity for our national security put at perilous risk by the mindless foreign and national security policies of this administration.

This is an excellent piece. Please read. "If we’re going to issue debt to buy super speculative assets that have no use today, have never had a use, but some evangelists claim will solve all of our society’s problems, why stop at crypto? How about a strategic Powerball ticket reserve?"

“Ukraine is not on the verge of collapse, and it is Russia, not Ukraine, that is losing the attritional war, which makes the Trump administration’s decisions particularly shortsighted and tragic.” www.theatlantic.com/internationa...

As an alumnus, I can only observe that this is a nauseating collection of misfits.

One of the grim ironies of Trump 2.0, is that though he says it "would be great if everybody would get rid of their nuclear weapons," his erosion of alliances and belligerent threats increase the likelihood of nuclear proliferation. www.newsweek.com/donald-trump...

This isn't ripping up the Rose Garden to give it a more Mar-a-Lago vibe (i.e., cheap kitsch). This is another "Night of the Long Knives" carried out by incompetents that will incalculably kneecap U.S. intelligence capabilities.

I'm angry with myself. Upon further review, "odious, orange oligarch" was a better descriptive.

I had deserted Twitter. I couldn't bear the daily chronicle of our fall into the abyss. But, the ongoing outrages compelled my return, only to find that some of my favorite "follows" had disappeared. So, @asharangappa.bsky.social and @johnsipher.bsky.social, it's good to see you again.
