At some point, a confession is going to surface... "Look... smart stuff isn't fun and learning is too hard and boring... dumb shit is easy and fun!" This is the actual reason behind flat earth, gravity & germ denial, antivax, COVID denial and all the other insanities we currently see.

As soon as Dark Age kink enthusiasts finally get rid of proof & evidence as concepts necessary to determine guilt, we can get back to accusation = conviction... ...we can finally round up everyone's guilty pets and hobby farm animals and expose them for their crimes! "Burn Muffin, BURN!!!"
