#FinalDestination #Bloodlines is pretty easily the best film in the franchise by a wide margin. It somehow sprinkles humor & emotion into the most disgusting, gory installment yet. Red herrings galore, excellent misdirects, & gruesome imaginative kills galore. Just a ton of fun.

I enjoyed #Thunderbolts quite a bit. It’s super talkie and much darker than I expected but it’s constantly funny and charming with a killer third act and ending. Pugh and Harbour are awesome and really drive great overall chemistry. More understated than expected but very solid.

THE SUMMER MOVIE WAGER IS HERE!!! ENJOY. youtu.be/CtMH56gNyDY?...

John Oliver’s report on @lastweektonight.com was so utterly devastating and depressing (about RFK and health cuts) that it left me, well, devistated and depressed. The helplessness I constantly feel is suffocating.

Missed the press screenings. Out of country for opening weekend. So, on our first full day back, this was priority one: #Sinners in 70mm IMAX.

Here’s one of the best parts of going to the Ghibli Museum: Adding that hard to watch Miyazaki film to @letterboxd.social:

Planned our Japan trip around two things: Star Wars Celebration and when we could visit the Studio Ghibli Museum. Today is that day.

Enjoy the first three episodes of #Andor season 2, all! The whole season is killer, as I said, but I think these three play like a complete, fulfilling Star Wars movie in a way the others don’t. It’s very much - “Welcome back, here’s what’s coming your way.”

Star Wars Celebration 2027 is at the LA Convention Center. Here are some early predictions. 1. Big panels (Starfighter, etc) in Crypto. 2. Huge focus on Lucas Museum which will be open/is close. 3. Insane crowds make LA public transport unusable. 4. 50th anniversary ANH screenings at nearby Regal.

That’s a wrap on Star Wars Celebration Japan. Took one final selfie with Diego Luna and a few hundred friends. #SWCJ

I’ve seen ALL of #Andor season 2 and it’s both Star Wars at its absolute best and a triumph of storytelling in general. I cried, I cheered, I laughed, I gasped. It’s smart, sophisticated, propulsive, entertaining and hugely resonant. Everything you want & more. It’s a miracle.

Tokyo DisneySea was a major success: 14 hours, 11 rides, 27k steps, and 8 new collectibles kicking off 1 new obsession. Mini-ride vehicles!!! These rule so hard.

Nintendo welcomes me to Japan for my 45th birthday/Star Wars Celebration trip!

Japan trip hasn’t started yet but is off to a good start. #SWCJ2025

NOT JUST A GOOF on Disney+ is highly recommended. If you love A Goofy Movie, it’s a fascinating look at the making of a cult classic. If you don’t it’s an even more fascinating look at the Disney animation process. Great access, footage and more

The Life of Chuck messed me up in the best way. It's a super unique & fascinating rumination on life, wrapped in mystery & wonder. The second it ended, I wanted to watch it again. Ultimately, it's less on the nose than it implies but the more I sit with it, the more I love that about it.

I've seen all 7 episodes of #TheLastOfUs season two and, wow. Buckle up. This season is bigger, scarier, & way more emotional than season one. The characters are explored deeper, and the new additions are excellent. I was riveted, devastated, & on the edge of my seat. My full NON SPOILER Review:

This week, I was in Las Vegas for #CinemaCon 2025. It's always a blast and here's my round-up with the 15 things I liked the most while I was there. gizmodo.com/the-15-best-...

Val Kilmer is one of those actors you grew up with & aspired to be. The coolest guy ever: Top Gun, Tombstone, Batman, Willow, Heat, he was just one of the best to ever do it. As I get older, I've come to terms that people I adored growing up are going to go and Val is one of the first. It's rough

Had to pull this @markenglert.bsky.social piece out of the flat file this weekend… for no reason what so ever.

This week, I talked to Steven LaMorte, the director of the upcoming horror movie Screamboat. You know it better as the Steamboat Willie horror movie. What I didn't know, though, was that the movie would have SO MUCH DISNEY in it. Like, so so so much Disney. So, we talked about it.

Chairs took most of the headlines yesterday, but I also posted about 10 things I'm REALLY hoping to see/learn at CinemaCon next week. I'll be in Vegas for what I believe is my 11th or 12th year and I'm hoping for some Spider-Man, Dune, Fast, Daniels, Star Wars and more.

Anyone else think it's a shame this Avengers reveal is overshadowing that Vin Diesel announced he's making another Fast and Furious short film/prequel? Because I do.

The True True.

loving my first March Madness experience! doubleheader with the number one overall seeded UCLA Bruins!

I spoke with #Severance creator Dan Erickson following the season two finale and it was great. He couldn't say too too much but I asked about a lot and he hinted at what we should be thinking about going into season three.

Friday we've got: My #Severance season finale recap. A spoiler-filled interview with creator Dan Erickson. And some big, big, Severance news. Meet me at the equator.

This was so much fun. The Last Dragon celebrates its 40th anniversary on Saturday and it's a movie I've always loved. But also, didn't quite know why? So I gave it a revisit to grapple with my views and rediscover just why it's so great. I now have the power of the glow.

As a notorious gossip and proud member of the mentioned blacklist, I found this article to be informative and interesting.

Tuesday: PSG comes back from a 0-1 deficit in an international knockout 2nd leg. Wednesday: LA Galaxy comes back from a 0-1 deficit in an international knockout 2nd leg. Thursday: Tottenham comes back from a 0-1 deficit in an international knockout 2nd leg. Not a bad week for my soccer teams.

This past weekend I made the very, very wise decision to rewatch The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I wrote about why it's one of the best things ever released in the fantasy genre and that if you haven't seen it, you are missing out.

Nothing like international knock out soccer on a Wednesday night.

This past weekend, I went through the madness of acquiring tickets for the Studio Ghibli Museum in Japan for next month. It was a lot. Here's how it all went down, with plenty of tips to boot.

If you give me new Star Wars concept art, I'm going to speculate, especially if it's related to the next movie coming to theaters. My theory is this. The Mandalorian and Grogu's story compliments the original trilogy story in some way.

OMG you guys. I just wrote, then deleted, a post here that would've started some shit. It really is like new Twitter!

About halfway through the season enough people told me “G, you gotta finally get into The Traitors” that I said “Okay, fine!” And I’m so glad I did. Just finished season three and loved it. So much fun. Don’t worry. Won’t spoil. #TheTraitorsUS

Starting to dig into #Daredevil Born Again and one thing that I haven’t seen many people talk about is Clark Johnson is in it basically playing his all-timer character from The Wire season 5 again and he’s so compelling I want the whole show to be about him.

I'm heading to Japan in April for Star Wars Celebration and, for the first time in years, the convention is at a real crossroads for the franchise. I have high hopes but, we'll see. I talk about it a bit here...

Last week, @io9dotcom.bsky.social was at Warner Bros. to talk to @jamesgunn.bsky.social and Peter Safran about all things DC Studios. And I do mean all things. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, Authority, Peacemaker, Booster Gold, Teen Titans, Waller, Fortnite, you name it, we got it.

pretty stoked to be at my first championship banner reveal!

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Topps’ STAR WARS CARD TRADER I looked back at the app that has been such a huge part of my life in that time. gizmodo.com/star-wars-ca...

I watched All About Eve for the first time last week and I’m still sitting here thinking about how legitimately incredible it is.

IT'S HERE. AND IT'S THE BEST - AROUND. Here's my deep dive into everything I LOVED (and a few I didn't - minor stuff) about the final episodes of #CobraKai EVER. Bookmark it until after you finish. Also, interviews coming soon too...
